I have never owned an Audi, never really appealed for some reason......

I'm doing well then as it's three months in already biggrin

I'll be eager to get into the new shape RS6 so we'll keep the M5 until that's released, so probably end of the year. Although it does depend on how much value the M5 has sunk and how expensive the new RS6 is going to be!

I think dealers will be keen to shift new 'stock' M5's by end of March. I'm still umming and aahing as I've always been BMW and will likely go that way but I do like the styling of the E63S at the moment.

That said, looking in a Mercedes dealer last week, they had a AMG GT4 which is another level altogether! Pictures don't do it justice but then it is is 140K.

Anyway, if i get an M5C this month i would'nt expect to pay more than £75k for a stock new car so be interested to know if anyone gets deals around that in the next few weeks.

With base spec (ie no packs)? I'm just about to do a deal on a car with Premium package, Comfort package, Driving Assistant Plus etc and a few other items, but for 10% higher than what's quoted above.

My local dealer is doing M5C with comfort pack for £80k (£20k off list). That's before haggling. Tempting but then you can get a delivery miles E63S with premium plus pack for £73k.

I looked at getting a low mileage registered E63 or M5/C and the donwside of that is the higher apr% making the more costly new vehicle a better choice.

This was a brand new M5C and finance was available at 3.9%. I still think there will be more discounts to come, possibly 0% APR etc.

I got offered a Comp pack this morning:
M5 Comp
Marina Bay Blue
Silverstone Full Leather Interior
Premium Pack
Comfort Pack
Active Cruise Control with Stop + Go
Apple Car Play
M Sport Exhaust
Aluminium Carbon Structure Dark Interior Trim

OTR is £102,918
£20k discount so price would be: £82,918

Seems to be tough to find any more than £20k off on a 19 reg.

Is that a car they have registered now or your order?
Nearer the end of March they’ll be desperate to shift their registered ones.

Not my build. I'm guessing it's a car that's built and ready to be registered and delivered.

Nice car. M5’s are always going to be a lot cheaper in another 3,6,9 months so it’s just a matter of diving in and getting the best deal when you do. I just overthink it!

I personally think the car is worth that all day long. I thought they were too expensive 6 months ago for when it was 80k for a non comp but I think the above is spot on and great value for the car on offer.

I’ve had my M5 cp for 5 months now, just changed back to summer tyres and I love it to bits. Usable every day, super fast and doesn’t look obvious to others.

Which winter tyres did you have fitted (and did you use a separate set of wheels)?

Also, my insurer is insisting on a Tracker be fitted. Has this been your experience?

Collected mine yesterday. All I can say is wow...... !!

The speed is incredible as is the handling. Still getting used to it but is seems amazing that such a large car can move that quickly but more importantly how it handles that speed, does not feel like a 2 tonne car at all. It is also a lovely place to be, all the tech is so up to date and useful, still figuring it all out. As other have said though the ride is bloody hard, even in comfort mode it’s still pretty hard and in sport or sport plus you can feel every little bump in the road. To be fair though I did want something that was better handling and sportier so can’t have it all I guess! Oh and did I mention how quick it was??!!

IMO anyone that says the car has no feel and is a one trick pony (i.e. straight line speed only) etc etc hasn’t spend enough time in the Competition. It feels way more like a supercar than a GT to me!

I will get some pics up later. Thanks to those that contributed!

I got the official set of wheels and tyres from a dealer in Germany. I’m not in Uk at moment so can’t check. Re tracker, I had one fitted anyway, but insure with Chubb.

Direct Line don't seem to ask for a tracker.
