Evolves is running 800hp at the wheels I think. At V Max it's as fast as a McL 720S. Bloody insane. Stage 2 map, straight pipe exhaust. Although it would be interesting to see what the affect on insurance premiums is. It's so mental I would think it prudent to disclose

Interesting to see them find the soft 155mph limiter (removed) then another one hidden away that kicked in at about 190mph that they didn't find initially!

So if you were wondering why the M5C is so fast, check this out (my standard car on the rollers this morning):

The torque curve is up there throughout most of the rev range, I guess that’s why we get sooooo much push in these cars (I’m no expert here!)

I recon if you put my standard car on the same dyno would be nearly 630bhp yes

Just another FYI, I have the "funny" key which I keep in my pocket so auto open doors etc. Today I tried the other regular key (smaller and less flash) and to my surprise the car had reset itself back to factory or something so all my seat and mirror settings were out incl M1 and M2 buttons. Hadn't appreciated that each key seems to remember its own settings!

I’ve not checked the manual but that’s fairly standard practice for high-end cars. It allows different people to use the car and for their individual settings to be recalled by each key.

Just hit 2,000 miles and loving mine smile

Has anyone done a M track day with BMW? Their adverts keep popping up on my social media. It’s £599 for a morning or afternoon at Brands Hatch. I’d like to explore my and my car’s limits but without using my car. Is this track day worthwhile?

TX and myself just this week had a full on track day with BMW as part of our BMW M Drivers pack.

I can’t speak for the half day track day but ours (IMO) was brilliant yes

I’ve started a thread within the M Power section about the day here.

Just a quick one, first time experience of "gunshots" from the exhaust - at lights on a r/bout, needed to get ahead of car on left so gunned it from lights followed by straight off the accelerator no braking. Sounded immense smile

TX.

Edit - sports+ exhaust of course.

Has anyone got or used the "remote parking" feature on the M5? I'm trying to work out if I can feasibly fit this thing in my standard size single garage. I think it will fit but not if I want to open the door!

No M5 has this feature.

Ah! I didn't realise that. I'm sure I saw that as a feature on the M5 but I'm probably mistaken unless they have removed it recently. Looks like the normal 5 series has it so it's a shame it isn't carried over to the M5.

Mine self-parks if I’m in it but as confirmed they don’t remote park.
