Are some of the M5 deals on Inchcapes website a bit odd?

Car #1 is £91600 otr £2699 deposit plus 47x £769 = £38842 + £35701 gmfv total buy price £74543
Car #2 is £97935 otr £0 deposit plus 47 x £839 = £39433 + £36058 gmfv total buy price £75491

Car #2 has £6335 of options for total extra cost of £948
I looked at these before I ordered my new M5 but the figures don't look right and you can also get a M5 Comp with £26k off which seems strong plus £5k on top?just doesn't add up.

My current RS3 is £39,700 borrowed and GFV of £25,246. I put down a large deposit. My previous RS6 was similar percentage but 2x these figures.

I have just confirmed a deal on an M5 and the total borrowed is £59,562 with a GFV of £40800. Again, I am putting down a large deposit.

For those of interested the deal is as follows:

Total OTR cost £101,365 (includes Avus blue individual paint, comfort pack, driver assistance plus, and a few other bits.)

Dealer contribution of £28,802
Finance contribution of £5,000

Total contribution/discount of £33,802.

The dealer was very keen to sell this vehicle and apparently required group director approval as it was sold at a small loss. I am not sure how much truth is in this but I don't care as I have a deal that suits me. I couldn't justify the extra £250-300 per month needed for a comp model.

I will ask the dealer if they are happy for me to supply their details but I expect this is a one-off as they were very keen to sell this vehicle from their own showroom/stock.

There are a few here https://www.inchcape.co.uk/bmw/offers/bmw-new-m-se... with £30k - 31.7K discounts.
Great car nearly bought this car a couple of weeks, but cut a long story short ordered a new M5 to my spec (due by the end of the month) not as much off as you got but car was cheaper overall..The wait is starting to hurt!!

£686 pm Andy? (36 months?)

A lot of car for the money
£638
I figure that’s at 3.9%. My calc suggest 638 equates to 2.75%. Great deal either way.

Apologies, the total borrowed was incorrect. Originally I was putting 8k down but changed it 10k, hence it should be 57,562 and not 59,562.

Deals and discounts have to be worked at, they are not on a shelf, lol.

I'm being picky but it's missing a few options. Decent deal all the same. Rocks in head to pay 10.9% APR

Pre reg as you say so effectively 2nd hand albeit new car mileage. Crazy money for an almost new 600hp car!

Not a bad spec to be fair, but yes, APR is eye watering.

But nobody pays that APR do they? I have had 3 m5s on PCP from BMW and never paid more than 5% apr.

Maybe you can haggle, but why quote it?

Price is good though.

Just been speaking to my dealer I bought my M5 from and tells me that the BMW contribution has been reduced by £10k from the 1st October and could only find 1 M5 (old stock and highly specced) for sale, so at the moment the deals have now dried up but I am sure that will change in the future.

I'm not so convinced...now that all the old stock has been sold then that should be the end of the disorganized selling....at least at the rate of £30K plus discounts. I guess another financial crisis down the line could set it all off again, but hopefully BMW UK has learned a lesson on contracting too many more cars from the factory than it has buyers for.

That is absolute nonsense. These cars are not selling for obvious reasons, with a number of dealers being stuck with them. I may well get another M5, but it would need to be a great deal with exit strategy pinned down.

Why? They are owned by BMW AG and they won't have made a loss on the cars, this is nothing new they've done the same with just about all M cars for the last 10+ years.

It's the cheaper sub 35k cars they struggle to make money on, not 5er's that they sell for 65-70k.

I got my new M5 for £62K so pretty pleased with that.
I'm just not convinced we will see M5s with that level of discount again any time soon.
