Normally I’d agree but it’s a bit different at the moment because under lockdown test drives are not allowed, so I’m reasonably comfortable that it was the DP driving mine to home and back. The mileage over the period reflects this. And if they did rag it before it was properly run in, then there’s still nearly 3 years of warranty to cover any issues. I doubt I’ll still own it once it’s out of warranty.
I assume you only buy new M models then, never used?
Exactly the same logic I used...there was a Black car at Leeds but salesman was open around how it had been leant out to M service customers, whereas the Hull car hadn’t and driven by the DP only - happy to take a small when I’m saving £36k...I assume you only buy new M models then, never used?

Yes, all 5 were factory ordered new... to be fair the offers I negotiated at the time put them at same price or near to the pre reg cars. I did once buy an ex ‘dealer principle’ 1600 mile E63 that needed oil top ups every 1500 mile... never again. Probably just coincidence or bad luck but once you’ve had a bad experience and all that. As per the previous comment, my dealer has been using theirs as a courtesy car to good customers during lock down when car in for servicing and I wouldn’t believe a word a dealer said. Awesome car though, pound for pound the best car you can buy imo and you still have the balance of the bulletproof 3 year warranty.I assume you only buy new M models then, never used?

Fair enough. I bought a M5C new in 2019 for £78k, £25k under list, for the same reasons. But the price difference now, after negotiations, between a new one and slightly used, for the same spec, is around £15k-£20k. As a cash buyer I didn’t want or need the 2.9% APR, so I went for value this time and bought nearly new for just under £74k, about £40k under list. So far so good, it feels like new. Only time will tell. Looking at lci approved used ones and brand new ones at the moment, my biggest question is: is there any significant difference on pcp deals. They appear to be pretty much same at about 10k down and a grand a month.
Anyone got any better deal on approved used one? Looking at 70k - 80k price range for used one.
I would most likely keep it for the full term and then return it before going electric. Or maybe I should wait for couple of months and see if there will be any deals again on the new ones.

Any thoughts on additional security ? I managed to get a good insurance deal with Admiral (no longer a spring chicken so age may have helped)..... people seem to be going for Ghost, etc - I'd be happy with an interim steering lock solution - anyone found one that fits the wheel without damaging ?
Thanks
