…The later the car the better the ride quality…
Not necessarily true…https://youtu.be/r0E1Nhl7a04
Sounds like the normal M5 maintains the balance, especially when you factor in cost.

Not trying to debate the improvements made over the life of the model, I was just suggesting it was unfair to discount the compliant everyday ride comfort offered by the standard car. and I can tel you "it's better all round", that guy has not driven the latest he likes those rock hard drives called Mercs.
The guy in the video being used to the rock hard ride in the mercs, speaks volumes to me when he says the pre LCI Comp has a harsh ride. Each to there own, but people shouldn’t simply discount earlier cars without trying them, especially when cost is a factor.

I have nothing but praise for the earlier models, they really are good, the latest is better. The guy in the video being used to the rock hard ride in the mercs, speaks volumes to me when he says the pre LCI Comp has a harsh ride. If you want a great performance saloon the F90 fits the bill.

Having had numerous AMG Mercs, and a pre LCI F90 Comp, the F90 Comp is more comfortable and compliant in about 90% of situations than any Merc AMG I have driven post c.2014.Had a few days in my 2019 M5 Comp and loving it. Much more comfortable than my M4 - only at slow speeds over really bumpy roads do I find the ride a bit crashy but I have quickly adapted to that. In all other situations it is a phenomenal car and a brilliant all-rounder.
Still haven’t found a way to start it up cold without waking the neighbours 😂

So, wildcard, M550i, anyone tried one?
Been driving one for just over a year. It occupies the space between an M5 and an Alpina in my view.
Very rare only ever seen one other on the road. I expect this is a factor in their pricing. Its never been built in numbers on any cheap lease deals for example.

Agree completely with this, I have had every M5 since the E39 including pre and post LCI F90's. The LCI F90 is the best M5 I have ever driven. I'm not sure why anyone asks about petrol consumption though. Just don't bother getting one.
If you could buy another M5 of what you’ve owned which would you buy again?E39 M5?
What are peoples thoughts on buying outside the dealer network? I never have…….. I have seen a 21 plate car I really like but it’s at a random dealer that I haven’t heard of. The car looks immaculate and has only done 3500 miles and has over 2 years manufactures warranty so I am thinking it should be OK??
Thoughts?

I am also a little worried about the potential to lose a ton of cash on this one as well as it’s priced quite high. Spec is huge and love the colour combo:

Advert no longer availablehttps://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202202212...
Any other link to the car or is it now sold?
Keen to know the details as would be useful to baseline the value of mine
