Discount on new M5
Discussion
Logged on to ask exactly the same thing regarding a competition pack car and saw this post, hope OP doesn't mind me tagging along
Speaking with a dealer who has a new unreg Riviera car inbound and have been offered £19k off, full spec car with every option ticked - how much can I realistically push for as I don't fancy losing my shirt considering what lightly used ones are going for..

Sure plenty of people will be along with some relevant real world examples but meanwhile quite a few recent buyers have posted here -

The best deals were in March or just before, I got a fully loaded M5 Comp for £78K new, that will be hard to achieve today but you will get close IF you punt around and play them off, my car booked @v £103 on the road. Good luck and don't just look local.
So £25k discount? Seems good - the car I'm currently looking at lists at just under £123k OTR.The problem I have is I missed a used 18 plate grey car last week that listed at circa £117k, 7500 miles and it sold for £73k. It would seem that they're not really spec sensitive when it comes to resale and it's a bitter pill to swallow driving off and realising you've just done £30k.

Would be intrigued to see the spec list for a £123k car!The problem I have is I missed a used 18 plate grey car last week that listed at circa £117k, 7500 miles and it sold for £73k. But i think you have to be certain, that this is the car you want, and keep it a while to try and justify the depreciation ?. I will be keeping mine at least 4 years, and it took me a long time to decide to buy the car, but im so glad i did eventually buy it, it really is awesome. If you want to be in and out of it quickly, i would advise you to look elsewhere.

So in addition to the usual premium and comfort packs most seem to have;
Cost option paint
Piano black interior
B&W Diamond audio
Ceramic breaks
Rear entertainment
TV tuner
Apple car play
Folding tow bar
Rear blinds
Night vision
Drivers assistant plus
M drivers pack
It is properly loaded
Certainly is fully loaded Only problem is most of the additional cost of the options will be lost quickly in depreciation. Some might pay a bit more for ceramic brakes and the audio, but rest will be lost. I’d be looking for at least a £30k discount on list price.Cost option paint

As for keeping one for several years. Never had a BMW before but mine has brought the fun back in to driving for the first time in years, so I expect I’ll be keeping mine for a while

The depreciation on the m5 has always been eye-watering. I also wouldn't even consider it without at least £30k off.As for keeping one for several years. Never had a BMW before but mine has brought the fun back in to driving for the first time in years, so I expect I’ll be keeping mine for a while
I'm hoping the m5 comp is more exciting than the 'plain vanilla' m5 that I drove last week. There was very little engine sound and only the odd, limp wuffle from the exhaust. Also, switching the exhaust on/off made no audible difference. First time I've been unimpressed by an m5. Just need to find a nearby dealership with a comp to test drive.

The Comp has the sports exhaust as standard. To get the pop and bangs you need the engine in Sport Plus mode. Having said that it’s nothing like the sound a F-Type V8 makes.
