God knows, 9 or 10 years i think? It travels 5 miles each way to work and sits in my car park or on my driveway. I plan on hanging on to it for three more years 'til I've paid my house off then it'll be for sale. I literally only use it for commuting now.
Here it is hanging around waiting for me to finish work...

Cheers fo rthe like. When the time comes it'll be on here and I'll update the thread. As it stands I have quite a few jobs to do to it before I could sell it and not sure how urgently I'll be getting round to any of them
Ill keep my eyes peeled, I daily drove a 328 sport for 7 years, perfect amount of power/performance for a daily and mpg wasnt too bad either. you must get some compliments daily driving yours. How many miles is she on BB3630 said:

120k just turned, i think. Yeah it's becoming one of those "i used to have one of them" cars. Nice to see it finally becoming more liked, they were the least desirable for quite a long time. Some lovely E36s on here! A couple of shots of my dad's which he just sold, bought in 2007/08 (can't recall exactly) with 28k miles, now on 33k-ish miles. Fairly late car on an S-reg, originally supplied by BMW UK and had the option 'Press Preparation Pack', although what this entailed Lord knows...

Just found these old pictures of my old 1998 E36 M3 Evo. Individual velvet blue metallic, SMG 1 box (not to everyone's taste I know, but I liked it until it broke).
It's the only car I've owned that I regret selling. I sold it in 2009 & the MOT history shows it currently sorned & not MOT'd since 2013. I hope it's just having a rest & hasn't been broken for parts!
Just stumbled across these pictures of the m3 and noticed that you were wondering where it is, we have owned it since 2012 and is still going strong bit it has been converted to a track car. Why did you need to cut the whole outer skin of the rear quarter out? Was it accident damaged or just to make sure all corrosion is eradicated? That's a really useful photo though to see what it looks like behind the outer skin. Mine has bubbling on the rear arches which appeared about a year after having paid someone to cut it out and weld in new steel before respraying the whole car I guess you get what you pay for. I've since done a welding course and sorted the jacking points myself last year. I'm thinking at some point soon I'll have a go at cutting out the rear arches, cutting out all the rot on the inner skin, weld in new and finish by welding an outer skin repair panel to make sure it's done properly, then have someone else spray it. Hoping I don't need to remove the whole rear quarter like you have, but I know rust can spread far and it always ends up worse than it looks once you start digging!
A bit off topic but I'm thoroughly confused by this ad in PistonHeads classifieds for a four door E36 Evo coupe with a 3.2L, five speed 200 BHP engine and a 0 - 60 time of 7.3s!

That's an interesting image! I have a 318is which will need the entire nearside rear quarter panel replacing. It was replaced many years ago after sustaining accident damage and there are signs of corrosion throughout the weld while the arch is a complete mess! The offside arch is going too. The doors, boot lid, bonnet and other areas are also showing sings of corrosion. Then it'll need a whole re-spray. I've got the budget for it but it's a case of how much it's likely to end up costing. If it's £10k then game on. If it's £20k then I'll mothball it and buy a three year old 420i M Sport.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
