Looking to buy M2 competition
Discussion
Pupp, I think we're in similar positions. I also have a TVR that will sit alongside an M2 if the deal is right.
I've only looked at new to order deals so far, the best i've seen is a £6.9k dealer contribution. My local dealer is on par with what carwow offer, being £3.5k for this quarter. I'm expecting things have scope to improve in the punters favour over the next quarter now the industry has had time to reflect. Dealers may well be crowing over a good second hand car market, judging by comments I've seen in the press, but this doesn't help manufacturers so my bet is some BMW contribution will start to emerge in July

Great minds think alike
I think (hope) they make good bed-fellows
I have a test drive booked for Friday. I'm slightly worried it won't be quick enough for the gap i'm trying to fill which perplexed the salesman, hopefully the torque will carry it through the weight and noise issues i'm concerned about. I think (hope) they make good bed-fellows
Lets face it, it'll certainly be a better car than any TVR, with my objective hat on.

'Better' is subjective of course; more polished, linear and integrated in doing what it does for sure but still tactile and dynamic enough to provide a good driving experience. Which TVRs do in spades as we know,Lets face it, it'll certainly be a better car than any TVR, with my objective hat on.
Anyways, I appear to have landed one so will report back with more experience soon enough. Quite excited at the prospect of my first DCT car; in fact, first auto... must be getting old

Good work on finding one! Would be very keen to hear your thoughts on this once you've had some seat time. Speaking selfishly I would like to understand if it fills the void between everyday capable eurobox and the TVR theatrical experience.Anyways, I appear to have landed one so will report back with more experience soon enough. Well done guys. M2C at around £38k seem good value although no cheaper than back in January. But then again, seasonal factor despite C19 and pent up demand don't help.

So tempting - https://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=80&a...
I've negotiated pretty much the same deal via my local dealership for a factory order, they just need some coaxing to get to the right numbers. If anyone is thinking of maybe buying one of these cars then have a look at this video review from 1 min 45 onward.
Just gotta love the yanks. Although he does explain this cars attributes rather well.
