Friend has taken up photography and wanted to take a few pics of the CSL...mostly detail shots but thought I would share a few with you all...
Those pictures are lovely. Did your friend achieve that rich colour, and dark blacks, using lense filters, or a bit a colour adjustment after upload? Here's mine................and she's for sale. Email me if your interested to steve.lee@synergygroup.co.uk

Hi Robin....as you can see your car is going well
You're taunting me now mate!!Great to see she's running sweet.
I've spent a small fortune on the GTR last few months and just about to put in a supercharged ls2 motor (6.0 litre corvette engine) good for 650hp plus Toyo r888's. All this is just to chase the buzz I got from the CSL!!
^^^ Watcha Rob, , how the devil are you man?
Funny that you are getting well into the Ultima now and I, on the other hand, am thinking once again about getting a CSL (maybe?) after having had my Ultima on the road for nearly three years now
Admitidly, I have only covered minimal miles in the thing but the lure of something reliable and proper keeps me thinking: maybe?.
I think that once you have the GTR up and running with the SC LS2 you will not look back because as mighty a car that the CSL is, it is still a road/track car where as the GTR is the opposite. It will be interesting to hear your comparison once you have seen a bit more action with the new combo, good luck

I hear ya, but I'm going to have my cake and eat it too mate, going to trade the 6 series conv in on a CSL around August (just in time to benefit from summer price rises on convertibles)... Just miss the day to day fun I had...I can thoroughly reccomend the CSL, never had a bad daily drive in it! Anyhow I'll stop hijacking this thread so peaple can post more photos of one of BMW's best..Funny that you are getting well into the Ultima now and I, on the other hand, am thinking once again about getting a CSL (maybe?) after having had my Ultima on the road for nearly three years now

I sold mine last year and still miss it! Certainly getting back into another CSL though, they're just unbelievable cars.
Has anyone had any experience of trying out a set of rears on the fronts? I see one of the CSLs with the red wheels looks like they've got rears upfront (they have the same deeper dish in the centre as those on the rears), just curious how that affects the handling and if there's any rubbing etc?
Also, has anyone tried using spacers to get the fronts filling the arches a bit more and widening the track? I hear it's meant to help eliminate the understeer, besides making the car look even more mean!
Any advice would be welcomed as i'm toying with getting another one soon.
Cheers
Al

Hi Al,
My car is the recent one with red wheels:
In that photo i was running 10mm spacers on the fronts with standard suspension & standard wheels, i.e. staggered Fr 235/35/19, Rr 265/30/19
I now run 12mm spacers up front with 10mm on the rears and KW Clubsport suspension:
I have had no issues with spacers. Rears on the front are only really useable on track. I couldn't be bothered with doing it for minimal gain when spacers give most of the benefit anyway.
Hope this helps,
Rob.
