i have locked my keys in the boot of my 53 plate mx5 can any one tell me how to unlock the car.i know that i am an idiot. any help would be very much appreciated thanks.

Call me cynical, but your first post is asking how to get into a car without the key?

You don't need a proper Mazda key with the immobiliser chip key just to open the boot. If you can get into the boot with a plain key you can retrieve the Mazda key wink

To everyone who participated in this thread years ago, I have a sudden cry for help!

I am a proud new owner of a mk1 mx5 1995 and a week in, I have shut my only set of keys in the boot, with all doors locked and the roof shut. I can't think of a way to get in. Please could somebody pm me with some help?

Well done for answering a 6yr old post, but I think he was implying the OP could have been a car thief.
