The 2016 limited edition Sports Recaro edition cars came with a subtle bodykit in addition to different seats / wheels etc. I'm not usually into bodykits etc but thought that this was fairly subtle

I think it just comprised of a slightly bigger front splitter, a different set of side skirts and a small boot spoiler. Looking on the MX5 Parts site I have found these:

The front air dam https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/front-skirt-black-mk4-c...
Side air dam skirts https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/front-skirt-black-mk4-c...
Boot lip spoiler https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/boot-spoiler-black-mk4-...

Anyone able to confirm whether they are the correct bits as fitted to the Recaro Edition cars?

Drop MX5Parts an email or give them a call. I've always found them very helpful.

Thanks. I did do that and they have been as helpful as they can be but without having a VIN Number for a Recaro Edition car they aren't able to give an answer either way.

Yup, that looks the same. Fairly subtle but nice.
Have I identified the right parts then?
Certainly looks like it.

Sounds like it as Mazda only do the one bodykit currently in the UK for the ND. It states "genuine Mazda parts". I bought mine car with the bodykit already fitted.

Thanks. Yes, I think I will just bite the bullet and go for it. The Mazda main dealers weren't helpful as they said the parts couldn't be identified or bought separately (not sure what happens if a recaro edition car has a cosmetic prang) and MX5Parts needed a VIN to cross reference their parts with the official parts.. but hey, what can go wrong. smile

That's strange as Mazda's own website and brochure suggest that they are dealer fitted options

Hmmm. Thanks again.
Think I will need to try a different main dealer to speak to.
The way my local place described it was that these were one-off parts for a limited edition car.

I ordered the boot lid spoiler from my local Mazda dealer (Mitchell's Cheshire Oaks) for my 2.0 litre Sport Nav and they fitted it with no problems. Not sure that the splitter and side skirts are worth doing though as, in my view, you have to be really knowledgable on the ND to notice the difference.

Funnily enough, I phoned my local dealer again with the part numbers from the above link, and even spoke to the same bloke who had previously told me they were unique Sports Recaro parts... and suddenly it was all sunshine and light.... the parts were available to order and could be easily fitted.

Appreciate what you are saying about the front and sides being fairly subtle but I think I will just go ahead and get the whole set.

I think it depends on the colour of the car. Mine is Crystal white so the front, side and rear look great in my view with these gloss black bits added.
