Anyone good with the 4g63? Have an issue i would like help or advice with!
Basically balance shaft belt broke, timing jumped one tooth and it wont start.

They normally throw the timing belt out of alignment when the balance belt goes. Seeing as its slipped at least 1 tooth, chances are its knackered the timing. Can you turn it over by hand?

Probably best to ask on the MLR forum - some of the guys there really know their onions. The 4G63B in my lancer is slightly different to the one used in the EVo's but does (did) have the counter rotating balancer shafts, although mine were blanked off ages ago. There are a couple of tutorials on youtube, but to be honest on I'd get it transported and done professionally.

I have had one snap in another Lancer Turbo, it sounded like a big end had gone, if I recall (it was the mid 90's) it was a case of changing the belts and retiming it up, which on a SOHC 4G63B is a piece of piss.

Ive bent all 16 valves. Currently having a top end rebuild! Ive only driven it a few times too having just bought it!

Ouchies! Sorry to hear mate, make sure the pistons arent damaged in any way. Seen a bent rod because of valve contact on the 4g63 before, but only once
