Almost 2 decades ago, my parents own a gorgeous red 1990 NA Miata. They had to sell it when I came along. Now, almost 18 years later, they have a (somewhat) miata-obsessed son andI want to try and track the car down. The likelihood of finding it is slim, it's SORN, rusted to s**t and all I know is the registration and VIN number... FMW 99J and JMZNA188200102417 respectively. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the car, please let me know. I'd love to get the car back.

Thanks!

Can't believe they moved this thread so fast, I know it's about an MX5 but it would get a better response in gg I'd have thought. In case you find your way back to this thread....

According to Carzana it was registered with a new owner in August 2017 which gives a little hope. It is SORN and the MOT has expired though.

Wow, thanks for the speedy response! At least there is some hope, I'm going to keep looking at classified ads to see if it comes up for sale at all.

Cheers

If it’s a UK car it has to have a cat.

Talking of tracking down old MX5s, has anyone here got a my late grandfather's red mk1 1.6 reg J40 ECH? Still taxed and MOT'd!

ETA: Just seen it here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK1-Mazda-MX5-/25343548...

Ask on the mx5nutz Facebook page. Lots of people on there and it’s very active.

Also, if it’s a UK car it’s not a Miata ;-).
