FN2 Civic Type R - Standard Wheels Options

Hi all,

After a little help if possible. Im looking at buying an FN2 civic type r as above, and im keen to find one as standard as possible.

However one thing im struggling with is what the standard wheel options were? For instance im seeing a lot of milano red cars, with anthracite wheels as below:



Can anyone confirm if the colour and style pictured are standard for a 08my CTR GT?

Standard wheel but originally it would have been silver.

My 09 FN2 has the above wheels but in silver, you will see some with the optional 19's which should be avoided

As above, just OEM wheels that have been painted/powdercoated. The CW cars got the same wheels but in white.

The optional 19's look like this.

If you dont mind me asking what is the problem with the 19s - I also think they look quite smart!

19s ruin the ride. The CTR doesn’t have the most sophisticated suspension and lower profile tyres just make things worse. Stick with the standard 18s.

The Rage alloys do look amazing , however as previously said they do make the ride worse and i would imagine more prone to damage .

The 19" Rage are diamond cut so corrode too.

There was also the option of 19" lightning alloys (m200/mugen) and also seen some with the storm alloys.
