Mx5 NC 2.0 Gearbox problem!

Noticed recently that when I'm in slow moving stop start traffic my gearbox becomes EXTREMELY stiff when changing to any gear, but when the traffic clears and I'm back up to speed it's fine again.

Any ideas?
