it's a great looking car.. but it completely bemuses me that you'd go to all that trouble to do the V8 swap... and then fuel it using a pair of SU carbs !?!?!??! WHY!

It's been up for a while...

And on Ebay a couple of times...

I like the idea but at that price its into TVR Chim. territory.

I see it at £4500 ish as you can get the turbo / SC cars at that price which have comparable / better performance.

Remind me at the next Windmill meet and I'll tell you. I wouldn't want to incriminate anyone here.

Whatever happened to the Monster Motorsports conversion? IIRC they were Australian, though it was a long time ago and I can't remember properly.

They offered the Monster Miata (which used a Ford V8), and the Mega Monster Miata (which used a supercharged Ford V8).

I'm presuming from my limited experience of Ford V8s (have a supercharged 4.6 Mustang engine in my MG ZT) that it's that engine since it's fairly narrow, and you can fit a supercharger between the banks with integral intercooler without needing bonnet bulges etc.

If it's the 302 then surely it's crazy heavy, but perhaps that's why they were called 'Monsters' as they'd be damn near uncontrollable...

You may find it easier to get a TVR AJP V8 in there, they're pretty small aren't they???

I think that Bullet are the Oz Company, who make crazy cars that look like 5s, with V8s
AFAIK Monster are American, and still going strong.

Monster were US based but don't exist anymore.

Dont worry I've got two other suppliers sorted.
