mpg question.. yawn

What sort of MPG do the various 1.6 owners get? I’m most interested in the early/import 1.6's with 118(ish)bhp.

I want to get an MX5 soon but I'm as tight as a gnats chaff when it comes to handing over cash at the pumps. I asked this question before but only got answers from 1.8 owners.

I have a 1993, 1.6 import with cold air induction kit and stainless steel exhaust and see 400km + to a tank on a motorway run (keeping below 4000rpm) and anywhere beteen 290 and 360km about while enjoying the car.......

i agree with the above, i see simllar from my 1.6 eunos. i used two tanks in a day a when hammering it around spa though
