What book?

Which MX-5 book is best for general maintenance, etc, etc, etc ....

I'm thinking the haynes manual - but from what I can gather it's a US-based book - so I suspect would differ slightly from others (particularly right-hand drive).

So - question - which book is best?

Try
Enthusiasts Workshop Manual, comes in 1.6 or 1.8 versions.
From www.MX5Parts.co.uk or similar shop.
None are perfect but it seems a lot better than Haynes.

i bought the enthusiasts workshop manual last week and it is excellent. ofcourse its not comprehensive, but its much more so than i expected it to be. very numpty freindly too.

That said - I am only too imtimate with the wiring on the TVR S (well mine anyway - where most of the wires we of the same colour)

Actually - I see there's 2 versions .....

Sept 99 - which is the MX-5 manual

And this one:

June 2006 - MX-5 Miata

The 2nd one - which I assume is the US-version - is the one for sale on MX5 Parts.

Are they actually identical?

im not sure if they are identical, but i dont think it matters that teh mx5parts book is meant for the US version. all the pictures seem to be of RHD cars anyway.

It's just that the publishers www.veloce.co.uk/ made a new edition iirc.

Got the Veloce enthusiasts manual - pretty good mechanically - imho he talks too much of special tools for diagnostics, but it's enought to be getting on with!

Can't speak for the MX5 manual from Haynes (do they do one???) but these manuals lately are a bit useless, most chapters repeat the phrase 'take it to the dealer' too much.
