Mrs 4Lmike is picking up her new Mustang soon and one of the first things we want to do is upgrade the exhaust - the stock one is a tad underwhelming.

Trying to decide between Corsa, Borla, and Roush at the moment, but we really want to hear them all in person. YouTube comparisons are not very accurate as they're all filmed with different mics etc. Is there anywhere we can go to listen to a few? Are there any meets coming up?

Thanks, that would be great. I'm in Amersham on Saturday early evening actually - are you around then?

Running a Borla S-Type Cat back. Mid range sound in the Borla range. Plenty loud enough for me big difference on stock. wobble

Usually Berkshire/Reading mid week if you want to have a listen.

Recommend speaking with Mike at Modurstang too...Abingdon based so not a million miles from you....he'll be able to share his opinions + fit etc whatever you decide.

I have a Borla S type cat back system fitted, I like loud exhausts on cars and bikes and have always had them fitted but found the rasp under hard acceleration really annoying.
I then replaced the X pipe with the Borla performance resonator. It's now much louder than stock but sounds like a proper tuned V8 without the max power rasp.
I live in Hemel Hempsted if you want a listen

Thanks all. I'm hoping there's going to be a few at Brooklands American Day on Sunday that I can listen to. If not I will take you guys up on your offers.

I'm looking for a change to the stock exhaust and have been reading as much as possible. I also found the YouTube videos to be unhelpful.

All i want is a better V8 sound without being obnoxious.

Modurstang is just nearby and I've spoken to them, they say I should go and listen to some, but the ones I've seen have been ridiculously loud and not what I'm after.

Does anyone have the Roush axle back? How is it?

Loud.. especially with the resonator delete and H pipe install.

Driven lightly it is OK, but put down the loud pedal and you'll hear it from half mile away.
The start up higher revving for 20 seconds is a real pain to be honest, as the revs at 2K hit the start of the louder sweet spot. It is all my neighbours alarm clock at 7am every morning.
