Not sure if anyone can help on this, Mrs Freak collected a new Wrangler Sahara at the weekend and although we've only done just over 100 miles she loves it.

One issue though appears to be the alarm, every evening since owning the car the alarm has just randomly gone off for no apparent reason. Looking on-line there isn't much info being a new model, but it seems this was also an issue previously and if you press the lock button on the keyfob four times it disables the alarm. I did this last night after it triggered again and there was a beep and it's been fine, as I would expect with the alarm disabled.

This isn't an issue where we live, but maybe not ideal if we leave it parked up anywhere.

Does anyone have any experience of this and have any suggestions?

Is his the same issue?

Few pointers in the thread regarding replacement of sensors - suggests UK Jeep alarms are a third-party install and causing issues.

Hope you get it sorted.

Had a couple of false alarms on my jku over a three year period,

I’m guessing the removable roof and porous nature of the sealing creates some challenges for a pressure based alarm, although there is no correlation with high wind.

Surprisingly no problems when running part fabric roof although I’ve a full soft top to go on this summer and I expect that to be a bit more problematic with the alarm.

Might bung a pir based shed alarm in just for a bit of protection.

Car went yesterday looks like there's a recall in the last week, but they have had to order parts.

Update to follow.

Alarms only work after the fact.
IMO disable it and forget it.

You could just pull a fuse like fuel pump if you wanted to disable it. (or wire up a switch to do same etc)

No alarm will prevent a smash and grab.

Save yourself the stress and cost and live life smile

I’m having the same issue with my wrangler 2020 - We’ve had the car just under 3 weeks and alarm keeps going off, usually around 2am!

I’d rather turn the alarm off permanently - can I just pull a fuse?

Does anyone know anything about the recall? I’ll have to check whether my vehicle was part of it.

Does disabling the internal sensors when setting the alarm help. It’s 4 presses of the lock button on the JK; not sure on the JL.

Not update this for some time (sorry).

After several "recalls" it's still the same, we simply just disable the alarm now (locking the door 4 times until you hear the audible beep).

I don't know if it's Jeep or the dealer Mangoletsi who are useless.

We also have a weird issue with the internal heater intermittently blowing cold air even though the screen says otherwise, the only way to resolve this is to wind the heater up to high which then blasts hot air, then reduce the temp back down to the level you had it originally. The car has been back a few times for this issue, but being intermittent it's never flagged up, we've even left it with them for a few days and nothing, other than putting 200+ miles on the car and using a tank of fuel which became a sore point when ask to fill the car for us.

It's the OH's car so she has said she'll take it elsewhere from now on as Mangoletsi have lived up to their reputation so far.
