Yes, shame that.
Was wondering where he'd gone, as he'd not posted on this thread for nearly a month.
He told me he got a decent return from the dealer,
So obviously he was pleased,
At the end of the day these are toys and we all love a new toy !
Hi all yes that was my car. Was a real hard decision to sell, but to be honest where I live, is just becoming so congested now, and it kind of took the fun out of driving it, not to mention the state of the roads round here are even more noticeable with the stock suspension. Was wondering where he'd gone, as he'd not posted on this thread for nearly a month.

I used the car every week for 2 years, love just going out cruising in something a bit more special than a daily, so decided to skip a couple of decades and re-live my youth with something that a) handles the s

It’s not American, but Japanese, a 93 Toyota Supra twin turbo. UK spec, which is quite rare, and a low mileage totally factory car which is probably even rarer. I had one over 25 years ago, was my daily at that time, but couldn’t afford the UK version so settled for a Jap import .
If I had the money and space, I would have kept the TA, but to me it’s a dream fulfilled and another car crossed off my bucket list.
Knowing me, I’ll sell it in a couple of years and go for another Yank again😁

Wow, a factory stock Supra TT, almost unicorn status for a Jap performance car of that era, almost all survivors have been modded to death by now.Not my thing, but I would imagine, keeping that factory stock will mean the value of that can only go one way.
Yeah, it’s crazy how factory original it is and with just 2 owners and 55k miles, and that’s exactly how I’m going to keep it. The only thingsI’ve replaced are the cassette player, gone for a double din touch screen and the factory speakers had literally turned to dust so they’ve been replaced. Oh and a subwoofer in the boot 😀

We was going to do Speedfest today
But it s very windy and not particularly warm
So not much fun watching the racing now we re getting older!
So working instead for a change !
I’m there right now, on the grass at paddock hill bend. Sun is out, gentle breeze and whilst I have a sweatshirt on, it’s not exactly cold. You’re missing out!But it s very windy and not particularly warm

Shame we only got here shortly before the lunch break and then after just one lap of the NASCAR there was a crash which has caused a 20 minute break to fix the barrier. Been here since shortly before midday and only seen about three laps of action so far!
This 68 427 four speed Vette back up for sale at under 30k
Probably don’t get much better at almost sensible cash,
The bubble has definitely popped !
The black 440 six pack Satellite still on at 32
I reckon 28 would see it on the drive ?
Very tempted to borrow a few quid and buy a car I can actually use !
Anyone want some guns and a B roadster ??
lol

'68 and '69 vette's have 'abreviated' fender flares - (no flares on lower body) as compared with later C3's.......consequently on a wet road all the road shizen gets splattered down the sides of the car. Something is 'off' with the modified and flared fender openings on this car - they are 'placed' about 1" to 2" too high on the fenders, rears are nearly level with door button. Both images show body of car sitting at a similar ride height.
Correct 68/69 fenders \|/

I did notice the rear wheel arches looked a bit odd, just thought maybe spring hight etc,
But your correct the actual openings look suspect?
Ex-drag car almost certainly, typical arch mods to run some big drag slicks on the back. But your correct the actual openings look suspect?
Or......someone remembered the old Carlos Fandango cigar ads on the telly many moons ago

Sellers can be quite sketchy when it comes to descriptions,
It’s no shame having a chequered history
Theses cars are seriously old so it’s obvious they’d have baggage!
Blimey mines been off the radar for over 40 years !
Just sitting and waiting till a suitable over confident moron
Turns up !
680 hours later I’ve still got a massive turd and about a 1000 parts everywhere! lol

Yours has got very little baggage, given the remarkably original condition its in.
Its the ones that have had 27 previous owners, 3 facelifts, and been fighting all their lives that are the problem partners

going to dig the right hand door out and get that skinned,
and with luck should get the left rear quarter lower section welded in over this coming weekend , then ill deffo see some progress witch may inspire me .

Wonder if he'd take £40k...

Actually no, don't like the wing cars myself. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up though.
However from a historical perspective and if one’s a full on showboater they are perfect!
Give me a straight 68/70 B body 440 6 4 speed pistol grip
Steels and Dog dishes
Ahh thank you
As I said on the MMA last night
I’m still a “ Mopar Aficionado “
Currently on the dark side but still know where my heart lies!
