Any one out there got a grant Steering Wheel on there motor?? im wanting to fit a smaller wheel, with an amount of dishing so i can move the wheel away from me a couple of inches, this will mean doing away with the " Crush Can" with my left knee TKR im struggling to get in and out of the RT when its in the garage ! ............. outside is ok as i can just sort of roll out laugh
Wood or leather ??

=====================================================================================================

Yeah deffo leather. and with a fatish rim, but the wheel is not the issue, its the boss, the challenger has a thing called a crush can between the column and the wheel, this rerally needs to go!
ive asked the question on the MMA i guess someone will put me right laugh

Only asked as i got a wood rim Grant,Bought it of a local guy at a show ,he only had it on his Mustang GT for a week then found

a original factory GT wheel, Don't know why i bought it really, i only like the Shelby wood rim wheel but prefer leather in general.

The pukka Caddi limo's (if the interiors are good) are a really credible alternative to that ghastly 'stretch' market (which must be struggling) - but who in their right 'kin mind could fall in love with one of those two door faux convertible razor back Seville's? - I mean with the dummy spare wheels in the front fenders and the 'Lincoln' grille the proportions are so wrong.........and those funeral cars.......

Is it original Fathom Green, or a repaint?

Very similar to Moorland green a RR Shadow colour,

Aston did one very close to that on the DB6 and that was called Olive green

but may have been a shade paler, giving me idea's ,makes a nice change from black.

Beaulie was a pretty good show. I guess the star for me was a white 1969 Boss 429. First one I have ever seen in the flesh

I can remember the first time I saw a BOSS 429 for the first time too......it will be exactly 30 years ago in a fortnight's time, and that was also a white '69 as well biggrin

This one in fact....

They are so classy - nothing to 'announce' themselves (to the uninitiated) with just the Boss 429 script! - less is so very much more - in this case 'more' is so very much 'even more'.

Sounds like i missed a good show, my mates said it was probably the best one yet,

Use to be organised by a local club the "Victory Wheelers" but Beaulieu took over when they realized

it was growing every year, The first year Beaulieu took over the show the club members boycotted the meeting and

being quite a large club it was a bit of a disaster so the following year they organised it jointly but fell

out big time over something to do with the takings ,argue

With very few shows going on this year i think people made the effort and came further afield ,

before it seem to cater for more local yank owners. The 429 Boss sounds nice , i don't think i've seen 429 either,

The big bad BOSS 429 isn't a 'cammer', as per the legendary made illegal by NASCAR Ford 427 SOHC.

The BOSS 429 is a 'normal' cam in block ohv design. When NASCAR outlawed the '427 cammer' Ford had to go back to the drawing board to find something else to replace the increasingly less competitive 427 side-oiler against the 426 Hemi, so they basically did their own hemi conversion of the new 429 block engine, although it wasn't a true hemi like the Chrysler, it was what was referred to as a shotgun-semi, or semi-hemi.

They were crap road engines though, unlike the Chrysler Hemi, as they had to be massively detuned for road use, and they were thus a bit crap on the road. If freed up of strangulation though, they are pretty impressive.

Nope, it was hooping down. The wipers worked, which was a bonus... The only issue I had was trying to pull away sharpish at a roundabout, I prodded the loud pedal a tad too hard and it just sat there 'doing a one legger' (I think that's the term) going nowhere fast with a lorry approaching. Some deft prodding at the pedal and I got away in time with a lot of noise made and a bit of rubber laid, but never mind. laugh I'll add an lsd to the long 'to do' list...
