still boiling though with the buyers lack of manners just because he's a millionair he thinks he can treat people in this way,
I had this before, sold a Range Rover on eBay, the buy was local-ish to me in Thanet, so no big problems collecting, right? He gave me a number, I rang him and he said "I'm just changing planes in San Francisco on my way to Costa Rica to see my girlfriend (wtf?) so I'll call you when I'm there". I'm thinking, OK, right, he's away for a week, two at most. So he calls me from Costa Rica and says, not sure when I'll be back, maybe next month, but I'll collect it when I am". Told him that wasn't happening to which he replied "it's my car now, I can do what I like"!! Er no, you haven't paid for it, and my parking charges are extortionate if you had! He then went on to tell me how he worked with this celebrity and that celebrity etc etc, ran an art gallery I think. Slightly inflated sense of his own importance!!

Cancelled the sale and the second bidder came and got it soon after, but I ended up having to block the original guy as he was hassling me with all sorts of messages.

Some people with 'money' seem to believe that the money is the predominent thing in life and that nothing else matters......these people need the supposed 'security' of wealth around them. Probably very insecure people.

I wonder if that's more to do with the condensed British Army Ukraine troop training scheme Bozo Boris offered Ukraine the other week.....and they need the ranges 24/7.

So, polishing and cleaning and just looking at the bang sticks as well then for next 2 months.....

Guess we’ll just have take a chance on the roads and hopefully get the odd lane at Bisley!

Used my super duper 22 again last Friday at Hythe,
300 mtrs, standard Eley Target ammo, 18 mils of Elevation
and shot MOA all day!
Amazing! And it cost me about a tenner thumbup

We were there yesterday, and it was the emptiest and quietest I've ever seen Bisley on a Sunday.

Still sitting in a bonded warehouse somewhere!

rosco---cappa. Totally agree ,some of my best mates are wealthy men but you couldn't meet nicer more genuine

people, This guy i got came over very nice over the phone and his last

words were better get you paid ,let me have your bank details, that was 26 days ago,

Not heard from the arrogant barstard since even though he failed to transfer the money 2 weeks ago.

Not the only one in the waiting room and he has now got Collecting Cars threating to ban him .

He obviously thinks his wealth brings him entitlement over the rules that everybody else has to keep to.

When your time is up doesn't really matter whether you ride a bike or a drive a Bentley we are all going the same way

and there's nothing your money can do about.yes

The world being what it is now nobody really knows anyone unless you’ve a proven track record with them,
Fancy houses and fancy cars mean diddly ,
The sheer amount of ticked up individuals is enormous,
Some of my extended family are a case in point,
Mortgaged to the hilt,
Probably couldn’t survive 8 weeks without a big income,

RR maybe your guy is another chancer , probably tried to sell the car before paying for it!
Loads of that malarkey going on ,

A old customer of mine came to see me yesterday
To see if we had any storage he could use for a month or two,
Got to move his 68’ B , roadster,
He’s owned it years and years ,
I’m looking at it next week with a view to buy it
Probably going to be a culture shock after the Dodge,
But hey ho !
My wife’s always wanted one so thought why not
She can drive me to the pub!

Be interesting to see what it looks like now
Haven’t seen it since 17’

Yeah it’s not a done deal , it’s not exactly Rock’n’Roll
But it may do, it’s an older one on a F plate,
so at least it will be old’y world’y
It’s in a garage with a series 3 manual Roadster
Two Cooper’s’s and some other stuff,
But the home owner is gravely I’ll , hence having to move the B ‘
Nigel the guy who owns the house has had the E ‘ from new!
Was a 100k awhile ago , be interesting to see it now???

Sounds interesting, Got a soft spot for the pre- 70's B's or the one 's before they took the original chrome grille away, can't

remember if leather was standard or extra but at least it won't have the deck chair seats,

Sort of car to go for drive in the country with a picnic , you will be like a courting couple again ,I say ding dong, rotate

The one owner E Type sounds good, prefer the 3.8 and 4.2 but had a couple of V12's, one brown

and the other primrose ,hated both colours but beggers can't be choosers at the time.

While reading your post my nipper got a email from this guys secretary stating that

they instructed their bank on the 17th to transfer payment and thought it was a done deal,

if the money has left his account and it's not in mine, where is it confused me thinks it's still in his yes

ye right if he had done that and heard nothing from me after all this time he would have been

in touch by now probably panicking as i would have both the payment and still have the car plus paperwork.

Like before when Collecting Cars had to get involved he 's now had to say something even if it's only to stall for more time,

several mistakes in the email which i don't think the bank would make, rightly or wrongly i've given him the benifit of the

doubt and exstended his deadline to Friday ,If not we will be putting some L plates up and see if my nipper can teach teacher

me the wonders of flappy paddles.

it is worth checking that your bank details where not intercepted and altered.
This is happening quite frequently scarily enough

Yes, you are right, i will get intouch with the bank in the morning, if this has happened as much as the guy is annoying

me i wouldn't want him to be out of pocket, or me for that matter, So many scams these days,

There are around 9 sellers as well as me waiting for payment hence Collecting Cars now getting a bit heavy with him.

not doing there reputation any good either, without the sellers there's no auction ,without there intervention

who knows when i would have been contacted,

Change of subject ,are you back on the track in either the TVR or Mustang, any races coming up that's

a reasonable distance to travel,

Thanks for the warning thumbup , meanwhile my shopping trip has been cancelled for now rolleyes

Only a day to go on this '56 Continental 11 - no reserve - currently up to £5700........rare, unusual and undervalued car (here in UK anyway) - highly unlikely to see one at any show........a few years ago and I'd have gone for it!

This got £12450 today - don't know what totals were with all the other additional 'strap-on' fees that applied to this seemingly non running vehicle.
