Just got back from the Members Meeting practise at Goodwood, busy as usual with lots of lovely eye candy ,
eclectic mix of cars but mainly Jags and very quick MK1 Cortina's,
Only one yank ,a white with blue stripes notch back Mustang,
first letters on the plate was EOL, not your old car Graeme .???
Not mine. Black shelby stripes and starts AGSeclectic mix of cars but mainly Jags and very quick MK1 Cortina's,

Not a great lover of these but i have got a strange fascination with them, wouldn't mind buying a convertible to smoke around in one summer .
The Corvair at Kop Hill was sold at Bonhams at Goodwood , think it was the Members Meeting the year it snowed heavily ,
Mint car almost to nice to race it,sold for £18,000 to £18,500 from memory .

Much prefer the curvier '65 revamped version, but the original reminds me a bit of the VW Karmann Type 34 in side profile...
Do like the Karmann Ghia's , despite having had lots of Bugs and campers i'm never owned one.Prefer the earlier model to the one in the photo but looks cool slammed with the Radar alloys .

didn't realise the stripes were black.
This one at Goodwood was eaten alive by some insanely quick MK 1 Cortina's.

re everywhere. Also currently reading Vincent Bugliosi's book 'Helter Skelter' about the Charlie Manson case, Manson and his 'family' were very fond of of VWs and had / used / nicked loads of them. Manson himself had a specially built dune buggy based on a Beelte floorpan. It's grim reading but a fascinating part of history nonetheless.
On a lighter note, had to take the Mrs to a hospital appointment this morning and spotted a couple of modern generation Mustangs in the car park which looked rather good. Must try and get a drive in one to see what they're like.
68 Camaro on Ebay. SS 'tribute'. £32k a bit toppy? I think I'd at least want two windscreen wipers at that price.

the Shelby parts including the gearbox.
There's a few brand new 2022 models in the dealers network ,there's a deal there to be done before the 2023 model comes in.
Jet fighter grey looks incredible.
Always go to the VW World show at Sandown Park every March but somehow forgot it was on this year ,
Even if your not into Dubs there are thousands there and you will be gobsmacked at the degree workmanship and enginuity of these VW's,
They come from all over Europe and it makes it a good start to the season,
VW and yanks people seem to be like minded ,you will always find yanks at a VW show and likewise at yank shows.

Seems priced about right looking at others being advertised but not sure if they are selling at the asking price,https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115741313837?hash=item1...
Only problem for me is not enough pedals and having sold two black cars i wouldn't be keen on buying another one.

I sadly think its a sign of the silly prices that we are seeing mere SS tribute cars being flogged. It wasn't long ago, that a real SS wasn't seen as much of a big deal.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115741313837?hash=item1...
Clone of the big buck Yenko and COPO stuff was understandable as 10-20 years ago ago they were silly money, and being so rare, a clone was a good way of enjoying such a beast without worrying about anything happening to it.
But a mere SS clone.........we must be getting old

Ugghhhh! Memories of having my '68 Cooper S restored ten years ago - started out as a 'new front wings and valance and a quick spray over job' and ended up as a fourteen month marathon with new sills, rear valance, front valance, front wings, both door skins, floor pans, boot floor and roof guttering job complete with a change of colour! Here’s some more!

Still looking at Mustangs, Corvettes, Firebirds and Camaros but as ever am getting heavily distracted by oversized muscle mobiles, will this (self) torture ever end...?

Or knitting is easier to spell !
Don’t take up shooting far to much faffing around!
Shame one can’t still play darts, it doesn’t need much planning, one can have a pint or three,
Helps your maths , ideal apart from the price of a beer?
But really can you believe the amount of abject pooh
Currently on offer at huge money
What puzzles me is how do ordinary people actually afford them??
Interest rates well up, mortgages we’ll up
Home bulls through the roof, food doubled in price
And 35grand for a turd 68’ Chevy
Makes my head spin!

It's lost so much steel that it's lighter than air now, judging by the way it's hovering above the axle stand [
would be fabulous if it was lighter than air, coz it may have evaporated by the time i go back to work on Monday!
Mind you with the amount of slaughtered buses ive got to repair god knows when i'l actually get around to repairing it!
Factor in i asked for a pay rise Monday and got refused today,
i bit my lip as i was going to tell the c--- to shove his job, but kept my cool so i can sort a few things out , i could retire but want to keep working for now so i can cobble a few quid together to buy Rosco's Vette................................. Fathom Green and massive Ceracoated Side pipes,
Yippy Ki Ayy...........................................
Interesting and conflicting emotions when you are about to leave a job.......for me, the employers COVID related excuse to 'suggest' I take voluntary redundancy for me was a 'no brainer' and done 'n' dusted within a few days. Didn't give much time to say goodbyes to valued customers and friends. Two years on and I'm amazed that I tolerated some of the anally retentive AH's in the companies middle and upper management. Couldn't go back to that environment now........

I've been a freelance contractor for past 20 years, so its something I've had to get used to, with only a weeks notice either way, you have to mentally acclimatise yourself to potentially chopping and changing jobs on a regular basis. This was hard for me at first as I'd been in a permo role with one company for 23 years prior to that, since leaving school. As it happens, I was given my notice of contract termination on Monday afternoon this week, and today is my last day, so I'm unemployed after today.
The fallout of the stopping of a lot of the work on HS2 to save money (which it won't) as while I was not working on it, a permo staff guy was, and now has nothing to do, so they've kicked me out the door, to give him the work I was doing. Not the first time its happened to me, ironically, the last time was this same week 3 years ago.....3rd week in March is not my lucky time of year it seems.
