Are there any particular brokers you'd recommend to insure a 2016 Challenger?

I can ring round the usual ones I would use for UK cars (albeit modified/ high performance), but if there's a couple of "go-to" brokers who specialise and give good deals on American cars, then I would be grateful.

Have to say I don't really know what to expect re insurance - this would be my first American car purchase. Not sure if the quotes are going to be ridiculous, and scupper the purchase happening completely!

Many thanks smile

Adrian Flux, A-Plan off the top of my head, first thing most (if not all) will ask you is..'do you have experiance driving this type of vehicle?' they will also most likely ask for proof of this.If you don;t have any experiance with a LHD vehicle be prepared to either be told 'no chance' or lube up and be sitting down with the premium quote smile

As above plus Brentacre and Footman James.

As also mentioned a Mustang forum scribe said A Plan asked them for a year’s previous experience either driving LHD or a car of similar power.

I’m with Flux and they made no requests.

Good luck.

Useful comments, thanks folks.

Similar power I can confirm, LHD no. So I guess I'll see what a few of them say if I ring round tomorrow. I'm already with Flux on other cars, so will try them first (sitting down with a stiff drink to hand maybe). Also a customer with Footman James as well, so will try them after.

Be a real shame if daft insurance quotes spoil a (potential) car purchase furious

I've just gone from a Monaro to a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack and the premium went up about 300 quid with A-Plan which is mainly due to it being my first LHD vehicle. Hopefully get a better deal on renewal in the summer but may take a while to go back down.

My 2019 Camaro SS (UK car) was £429 with Darwin Insurance. 5000 miles p/a domestic and pleasure only. I didn't think that was too bad.
