Hi hope you don't mind me contacting you I saw your post from some time ago about how to swap the the wiring to get amber indicators on a mopar. I sort of understand what you was saying but could do with a bit more help I have just imported a 1972 Dodge charger and before I can register all the mot stations where I live have insisted the car has amber indicators so was wondering do you have a sketch that shows what needs to be done as I'm struggling to understand the wiring diagram for the car. My son's a mechanic so if there is a detail available of how this is done we could do.
I would really appreciate some assistance many
Thanks

Here’s an interesting thing I have a USA car imported with a Nova but not registered yet and it is just over 40 years old .
I have just been informed it doesn’t have to have amber indicators or a fog light because it’s historic mot and tax exempt and also it doesn’t need to have an mot to register it . If I do decide to have voluntary mot it would need to be done .
I probably will put on amber indicators as it doesn’t bother me tbh but just thought I would throw this out there .

As far as I understand it, red indicators are legal pre 1966. My 1967 import needed amber indicators, but was exempt from fog light requirements.

I was told a voluntary MOT will reduce the likelihood of you being requested to do an IVA.

I brought my 1970 Chevy pick up in from the US last year.
No inspection or MOT required & tax exempt.
I haven't done anything to any of the lights yet. I may get around to doing the headlights one day but not planning on driving it at night and the 40 year old headlights would struggle to blind anyone on either side of the road smile
