Randomly got fed up with the broken Monster. Having taken a picture of it I wanted it back in action so took the back off to have a look inside.

Now I don't know much about watches but the spinning weight bit was really wobbly which I can only guess is what was banging about inside the case. I found the smallest screwdriver I could find and gave it a tighten. No more wobble or noises (other than the usual) and she's up and running again!

Not sure how it'll keep time just yet but so far it seems OK. It's been sat in a drawer for about 3 years not running so it might take a bit of time to get back into the swing of things hehe

So far hehe

Can't believe I've had it sat in a drawer for years and it only needed about 5 minutes TLC.

I'll wear it tomorrow and hopefully it'll last the day.

Yes, it's a fantastic idea to publicize that kind of detail. Future customers will surely thank you.
yes

Beggars belief tbh

Edit: the post was well-meaning, I have no doubt but I really wish folk would think about things logically before posting details like that irked

Update on the poorly Monster.

Being wearing it all day and it's kept great time so looks like it'll live to fight another day smile

Well the turtles here...

I've sized the bracelet and so far so good. Quality seems good, it's nicely finished and feels nice and comfy. The Mrs doesn't like the gold but that's her problem, not mine smile

Overall really happy for £215.

This arrived today. Very happy with it.

My first Seiko.

I have a few Citizen Ecodrive watches but now Seiko do a Solar watch I thought I’d try one.

I have a couple of seiko dive watches and a few chronos...I have had an SKX 007 as a daily for a few years now on a Strapcode Engineer bracelet and love it to bits....but i fancied having a go at trying to create something a bit more custom ........... I found a cheap SKX 007 on ebay ...

Before.......

Then decided on a new bezel insert....dial and hands......new crown......bit of a fiddle...especially the hands ...but liking the overall look...

After..........

The blue bezel version? Totally yes

The second version is a wee bit too busy for my taste. Which counts for zilch, naturally!

Good job on both tho smile

Both of them to be fair. I prefer the bottom one, there's a lot going on but I think it has a nice utilitarian/purposeful look about it.

Which SSC is that? I've got the older SSC017 with the blue quarter on the bezel, it's a bit battered but looks good on the wave vent rubber strap. Nice watches.

I thought I read a few weeks ago that Photobucket hotlinks work again. You see the pic?

That’s nice! Just discovered the SSC569 and Orient neo 70s which are also very nice!

Very happy with the left two, getting loads of compliments on the SSA343.
The Seiko 5 doesn't see any wrist time, so that's going to go soon.

Thank you. Silver hands over a white dial makes it not the easiest watch to read at a glance. Last year I bought an Orient WV0051TY panda, which I actually prefer as it has black hands over a cream dial, though the black hands are sometimes hard to see when they are over the black sub-dials.
