We need a better shot of the other one!
Done my best here. Here are two slightly more in focus shots from two different cameras, although sadly the same crappy lighting.

I paid £5,400 for it, but there are a few on Chrono24 for less. Good luck finding a new one in a shop!

I'm pretty sure they're mostly sold out.

Wow i Thought Seikos were sub £1k watched and most a fraction of that - none the less your watch looks very good.

If you'll forgive me, this is a copy and paste from the Incoming thread:

Gentlemen, I bought two watches today. The first was planned, the second I couldn't resist.

The planned one is a Grand Seiko Snowflake. I've always wanted one of these and it really doesn't disappoint. This isn't a great photograph, it needs a much colder light or sunlight to really make the most of the dial.

The second was very unexpected. They had told me that one of these was in stock when they emailed me about the Snowflake, but I didn't think I'd be that impressed. It's limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide (I think), and they seemed reasonably genuine when they said that they hadn't expected to get any more in, ever. A lovely gentleman (with a very impressive collection of cars back in Dubai) appeared to buy the other one as I was there.

Again, the lighting in the photo is poor, but it's beautiful. The movement is incredible too, almost as lovely to watch the second hand as the Spring Drive.

Great post. Congrats! thumbup

This is the beater of my Seiko collection.

The go to watch if there's a high likelihood of damage occurring.

It's taking hits for the team :-)

I've got one of those, decent watch! Mines not a beater but nice to know it can stand up to a bit of abuse.

The 'Grand' in Grand Seiko is a clue that it's no ordinary Seiko.

Seems to be holding up ok the scratch across the crystal over the 3 was courtesy of a scramble up Helvellyn in the lakes.

The strap was poor on mine but easily sorted by a NATO. I should wear mine more really

I'd have a high end Seiko over a LOT of high end Swiss stuff.

More funky '70s Seiko goodness arrived yesterday. A '73 King Seiko VANAC with the sharp language of design and cut crystal. The blue face is lovely and sparkly - you don't get a sense in the pictures how deep it is.

Unfortunately the original bracelet is sized for a more delicate wrist than even my girlish numbers. The lug width is 16mm but the rest of the links are 20mm. Does anyone know of a metal bracelet with a smaller first link? My google-fu is failing me...

I’m a little disappointed with my SKJ007
A year or so old & a good price from Creation (incl taxes..)

However it gains about 40 secs a day
Is this normal?
If not, tough luck I guess as no Uk warranty

No real hassle to adjust & looks good. But not a great timepiece ! smile

Maybe worth having it degaussed before tinkering... that's typical of having become magnetised. Easy and cheap at a decent repairer/dealer

That was my first thought.
