Has anyone used this company before?

I'm trying to buy a 2012 Rolex Sub no date and see that this company has one in stock for £5,250 (rather strangely marked 'was £5,000')

I would not normally buy such an item online as i like to see in person what i am getting plus try to get a bit of haggling on the go but i can't find the same watch anywhere else. I'm told it's not officially available in the UK yet and will have a big waiting list when it is so this is why this deal appeals to me.

Obviously would like to do as much research before parting with £5k plus so would like to know your thoughts and see if anyone has used this company or even heard of it?

There where a couple for sale on here the other week, like new and with a saving, i think the RRP is £5k if you can get one, i was "told" that they have one in the window at the new rolex dealer (AD) in milton keynes but take this at face value.
Its a really nice watch, I have one, i wanted the 14060 (older ver) but think the new strap is a leap forward in quality, it feels like a 5k watch, the older one is a bit lighter and feels just a little cheap (IMHO),
Bottom line is i would not want to pay list price and not get it from an AD

Many thanks for that, called them up and they still have it in the window. Asked them if I could pay for it by card and either get it delivered to my house by courier or to one of their Scotland shops and strangely the answer was no. The manager is going to give me a phone tomorrow to discuss it but must admit their initial response was a bit unusual I thought. I don't really want to have to drive down to mk when they have branches up in Scotland. If it's commission they are concerned about I would have thought paying them direct via card would have given them the sale anyway

She will wonder whats going on because i phoned her too!! I was curious because i thought they where out of stock in the uk, i wonder why rolex ad have bugger all stock of stainless sport watches, on holiday they had pretty much every single watch in stock. Also its a nice experience having the watch fitted, they remove all the plastics and clean it & me and the mrs got free champagne, think it adds to the whole buying a £5k watch experience. Bet someone in scotland has one, i know the one in MK has just opened so i guess rolex would have to stock it or it would be a bit embarasing. As i say i love my watch, once you get used to the bigger case i think the new one is nicer.
Good luck

Maybe that's why she seemed slightly wary...i will see what she says tomorrow.

On another note, and i hope you don't mind me posting this Ben, what is your thoughts on this? http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/non...

I'm sure everything is as it seems but having never bought a second hand, albeit never used, watch is there anything i should look out for? I got my daytona from an AD although was offered one cheaper at the time that was purchased and never used, it was just the peace of mind thing for me that made me go for the more expensive option.

There is obviously plenty people on here that buy/sell used so does anyone have any advice that can put my mind at rest?

I priced it competitively for a quick sale, without any hassle. All I got was offers around £3k, from people thinking I was cash strapped. Marked as sold to stop speculative buyers.

If I don't sell at this price, I'll hold on to it and use it for p/x when I find my grail item.

I tried to sell a Yachmaster on TZ and all I got was a bunch of 'what's your best price, mate, innit' from sub-10 posters.

That is a good price price, i would have been tempted at that, its less than i paid 'overseas'. On a side note if you deduct the vat from uk wathces they work out pretty much the cheapest you can get them, i guess this is why if you visit the likes of Harrods their watch department is full of Arabs buying handfulls of 10k watches.

Getting UK VAT back in real terms is around a 13.6% discount. Then you can be hit for an admin fee.

Still worth it though... wink

Hello,

Guys Just found this on the internet regarding the Luxury Watch Hut and thought I could give you my feedback after purchasing a Rolex Daytona from them.

I spoke to the chap at The Luxury watch Hut and asked what Daytonas he had in stock and suggested the Stainless steel black dial daytona. He done a fantastic deal on the watch for me and I paid via banks Transfer and was Delivered to my door in 2 days.

when I got the watch it was Perfect no marks on the watch as they Valet them before. It was complete with all Box and papers 2008 Model and supplied it for £6950 Including delivery.

I believe it is a fairly new company but was a great help and supplied and excellent service!

I would recommend to anyone.
