I have been following both Marloe and Farer watches from afar for a while.

Have decided to dip my wrist with one of these, should be here in a few weeks.

Marloe Coniston
I rather like that.

Must resist.....
That's lovely, I haven't resisted, just ordered....

Just picked this up today after waiting 6 months , mysteriously a couple of days after the price rise , what a coincidence?.

The Glycine arrived on Wednesday from Watchgooroo (on e-bay), so it only took 13 days.

Dont know why its rotated the image

Well impressed, everything just as it should be. The watch looks and feels fantastic, wore for the full day yesterday and yes some might say it looks a bit big for my wrist, but I love it.

A present from my good friend Alex. May I suggest it as a new trend that we but each other nice watches? What to buy him? Difficult.

Well after buying a Hamilton Khaki Air Race AND a Seiko Jade monster this month I really wasnt expecting to buy any more watches for a while but I fancied a Maurice Lacroix Aikon automatic since seeing them covered in videos of Baselworld, hadn't seen them in the flesh but Ernest Jones in Reading are stocking them so took a peek whilst trying to see if Goldsmiths had the new Seamasters

Love at first sight , I know it bears more than a passing resemblance to a AP Royal Oak but a new one of those would be out of my price range

Had one of these Citizen eco drive aviators inbound for the last week for my dad as a birthday present. It arrived this morning and I'm impressed with it for the cost. They're sub £80 on Creation, straps good quality too.

Doubles up as a self defence bit of kit if it comes on top.

Take it off, along with a sock, place in said sock, tw@t somebody with it if needed....

Interesting but fails my first test for a watch I'd buy...
"1. Must be able to glance at the watch and read the time."

Who thought black hands on a black dial would be a good idea for a tool watch?

I have no doubt it's a wonderful piece of kit, just not for me.

No our lass doesn't like it either, but she is a Girl.

As it happens the sales man used exactly the same term, "wonderful piece of kit" spooky that pal.

It's 2nd hand, 10 month old. Wouldn't buy new. It's taken it's depreciation hit............

SLA025 just landed. Unplanned, but having seen it in the metal it wasn't a hard decision!

Snap!

I just got one too, I'll get some photos up later today. As you say, in the flesh it was a very easy decision, they're beautiful watches. I had a look at the SLA019 too, but I thought the dial was a bit small and the colour/shade of the green wasn't quite right.

Something a bit different, probably first and last venture into the world of vintage watches. But I really liked it, it wasn't that expensive and I doubt I'll see another.

Yes, I realise it's probably a redial, as it's 68 years old.

Don't look at Chrono24 before a coffee in the morning. frown
