Tried one on at my local AD (it was spoken for) and i really liked it, couldn't really see a place for it in my collection though.
If I were being sensible it doesn't really have a place in my collection either as I already have two other gmt2s.But sometimes I just can't say no to new shiny things....

Got this arriving tomorrow. Been wanting to add a Carl. F for a while and managed to snatch this for a great price. Box and papers all still with it.
Looking forward to getting my hands on it. Confident it could be flipped for profit but that’s not my motivation, also think it will be a brand to keep an eye on after being bought by Rolex last year. Should raise the brands awareness hopefully.
This is very nice. Just having a google of some of the other pieces. Got to say I know pretty much nothing about them. They look really good and different. Looking forward to getting my hands on it. By far my favourite complication and the one I own the most of across various brands.

Ok so I lied to myself. I’ve got this as my FINAL watch for the year. Had this on my wish list for years and finally decided now is the time (excuse the pun).
That looks pretty good condition, I've seen a few in a shocking state and asking silly money. Presumably original bracelet too?My new 2010 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Chronograph 'Boutique Edition' arrived this morning and I delighted with it. I sold my Mecaquartz version of this on eBay last week, (also posted on the watch section here). Incidentally eBay have refined their watch buying & selling process and for me it worked very well. This watch is, of course an automatic rather than a quartz/mechanical hybrid. It's also 39.5mm rather than the somewhat small 34mm of the 1990 Mecaquartz. This special edition, of which mine is number 18 of 150, has gold marker batons and gold hands for time and running seconds with blued hands for the chrono functions whereas the standard model has silver hands and batons. I really like the gold touches as, in my opinion, it just adds a bit of flair to the dial. As I say, I'm very happy!

That’s lovely. Following the "ooohh look at this watch" thread, I just bought this (stock photo):
A mid 90's IWC mk XII on the steel bracelet (+ leather one).
And to top it: the watch I bought is unworn
After a lot of research I have done over the last couple of days, I had to have it. It is peak tool watch, imho.
Other than it's predecessor and successors, it comes with a JLC 884 calibre. Also it has the correct size of 36mm for a tool watch.
The mk XV successor not only grew in size, but also comes with an ETA movement. This watch is from the pre Richemont era of IWC and was more expensive at the time than for instance a Omega Speedmaster, while being a time/date only watch.
It is my first IWC. Growing up a youth in the late 90's/early 00's, I fondly remember the ad campaign by IWC, especially in all the Swiss ski destinations.
You remember those, right?
As I have said on the other thread already: I sold a couple of watches in the last year and I didn't want to have a "collection".
Well, I'm -3 watches, +4 more expensive watches in the last 12 months (and that is without "toy watches" like an other MoonSwatch)

And I thought I had a watch strap addiction!
Lovely straps though.
Addiction is the correct word! SWMBO would call it a waste of money Lovely straps though.
I really should move on the VC overseas straps as I have ALL of them but not the watch. Although if the arse keeps falling out of the market for them then I may actually have another in the future.
(Just the VC straps…)

I think the pink one would look great on the gold overseas. Got a pic of them together?I really should move on the VC overseas straps as I have ALL of them but not the watch. Although if the arse keeps falling out of the market for them then I may actually have another in the future.
