First off catalogue piece for me incoming.

Very marmite but I love it. Was asked if I wanted anything else so went land dweller in 40mm stainless.

That's really nice. Weirdly I don't think it looks over the top at all, really classy.

First one of yours I'm not finding myself liking tbh, not that this would or should bother you, a bit bling for me, and I don't shy away from a bit of bling. I think the bezel is a bit too 'wide' for want of a better way of describing it.

Is that a mother of pearl dial?

I ll be interested in your thoughts on the Land Dweller after all the release chatter has died down.
Yes mop dial and then the sub dials are another type of lighter shade mop, just really hard to capture the reflection of it.

For the Land dweller, I actually really like the bracelet. It’s like an updated AP but still distinctly Rolex with the polished/brushed links which interestingly are four pieces of ceramic per link. The movement also has I think they said lots of ceramic and tantalum meaning min ten to twenty year service intervals.

Once they start releasing new dials the Land Dweller will fly I think.

Fantastic M1k3, always nice to see enthusiasm from a collector attaining a new watch that moves their collection into a different sphere. I have never ever liked diamonds on a watch but as I have got very old you know what, I put a diamond marker dial into a configurator this evening before seeing M1k3's post and thought, yeah I could carry that off....

I agree.

I still cannot get my head around the name though.

Both the nomenclature and dial make me think of the Austin Ambassador.

Lovely.
Congratulations.

The bezel is too bling for me, but then it's not mine - as long as you like it......

Just bought, this is the large model with a date, in rose gold, would've preferred the medium without a date, but it felt too small. Comes with two straps, Grey and Blue, with a deployant clasp. Also considered the new Tank Louis automatic, I may get that one next year..

That would make a Cartrio no?

Yes, I am avoiding work.

The Santos has a OEM quick change fitting, so not much aftermarket out there, except for Delugs.

The watch comes with both a grey and a blue strap

Cartier make quite a few options..

My trouble is, owning a Large Santos, is that I don't like any of their straps.

Lange is easy, my Zeitwerk has every colour in the rainbow. Etsy is also your friend when it comes to straps.

Arrived on Friday to celebrate the birth of my daughter…a vintage Sea-Dweller 16660. Reference launched in 1978 (my birth year) and this watch is from 1984 (my wife’s birth year).
