[edit] but then I got there.

A chap at work had an RO. I'd seen pictures before, but the real thing was lovely.

REALLY like that, which is a first for me in the whole generic G-Shock thing.

I have excellent taste. wink It's taken me years to find a 2100 that's "right".

£175 with the WS10 voucher if you fancy one.

Not a watch (about 11cm wide and 19cm tall), but it'll look nice in the workshop.

Regretfully I just can't afford (or more accurately - justify) purchasing a ORIS big crown. . . . so I'm going Chinese with this little fella. I feel dirty doing it , but it's an itch that needed scratching, admittedly without the cool calendar complication frown. I appear to be morally bankrupt! At least they are using their name - which tickles me TBH - Octopus Kraken smile. Currently in transit from the Flowery Kingdom (AKA China). Will probably regret it and end up going to hell.

Went for a browse in Mappin & Webb in Edinburgh before Christmas and looked at these.

The Cartier was so much nicer on than I thought it would be, but had been looking at the Tudor for a while.

Ultimately, the Cartier is approaching Rolex money (I know, waitlists/games etc) and I couldn't justify wandering around with the cost of a small car on my wrist. Went with the monochrome Black Bay

Some chinese stuff is very good, you may be in for a pleasant surprise.

Fancied a bit of 80s retro and it reminds me so much of my Seiko Digi-Ana I wore in the 80s.

A bit of nostalgia for £50.... couldn't resist.

All sold out in the UK, had to get my mate to buy it in Holland for me. Pick it up later this month.

Where do you get these from? I would love a G-shock version.

Japan via eBay. It's an actual Casio product; I don't know of a G-Shock version.

Yes, it's quite a clever thing and very well engineered.

Currently awaiting an AE-1200 and a few goodies to bump the quality up a bit including a full stainless steel case to swap out from resin, a leather quick release strap (will get a rubber or canvas for water based activity) and a few coloured/gradient films to try out on top of the digital module,

Should make for something relatively interesting, when it all turns up that is hehe

Picked this up on TZ today, getting it picked up by courier tomorrow.

I love a bi-metal and I love my bluesy and full rose gold RB, so this is another daily type wearer as I wear my other RB very sparingly.

I didn't realise until today that the GMT2 was 40mm to the subs 41mm
