Nice is this a ltd edition? I’m tempted by the bucherer blue one too, but that green is lovely.
There's a clue in the 'photo It's a tie-up between Harrods and Tudor.
I’m guessing there is a wait list but will drop into Brompton rd to see if there is any chance. Would love to have a trio with this and green subs.
After weeks of watching these fly out of the shops and off the internet suppliers listings I finally bagged one of these for the wife at a sensible price. Every example I found in the UK has been going for full list or more unless you ordered from factory via iconic (£8020). Most of the European examples are click bait and are only available on order. Luckily one appeared in Monaco of all places (£7400 delivered) so I look forward to receiving it this week.
I bought my friend a 178271 without the diamond dial for £4800 2 years ago. It's amazing how fashion has accelerated the prices of these. Another that we found in Austria was going for £9800 :0

Thank you both... has been on my list for a long while and a too good to forego opportunity arose last week. I'm very impressed with it; to my eye (including under a loupe) it does deserve the quality rep.
However, it has had some fair wrist time this weekend with not a glimmer of interest. Including from some known watch guys. Very under the radar I think... the sheer lightness of the thing is a mind blower too.

The Snowflake is indeed a lovely thing and the fact that GS in general is still under the radar is no bad thing IMO. I've a SBGA003 (steel version of the same watch with a black dial, all be it with the older Seiko/Grand Seiko branding) and have been meaning to buy a loupe specifically for this watch just to check the polished hand and marker surfaces, unfortunately I won't have that wonderfully textured dial to gawp over.

All I can tell you is what I have read on the net, which is the substrate is brass then treated to a six-stage coating process. What with, I have no idea I am afraid but it ends up with a textured 3D appearing finish. GC8 said:

TOO LARGE!?? I hope that you grow into it, like a new school blazer bought in September...
Did you go with a deployment clasp? How does it feel on the wrist?
It does look a little large, but such a beautiful watch - Congrats!
