Been after a GMT watch for a while (was looking at a Steinhart above, and a Longines Conquest GMT), and ummed and ahhed over this one as it was over budget. But decided to bite the bullet and just grabbed it while the pre-order discount was still available.
Bit of a risk as I'm just having to hope it wears nicely on my wrist, but fingers crossed...
But they're throwing in a free rubber strap as an apology

Wrist shot when it arrives, please But they're throwing in a free rubber strap as an apology
Years back I used to own one of their Hydrocarbon models, it wasn't the largest of cases (40mm, I think) however it wrapped well around the wrist due to the lug shape. Hopefully yours fits well.

A lovely watch ruined, imho, by the ridiculous shape of the hour hand. But each to their own and all that, hope you enjoy it for many years.CardShark said:
My new Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36.
I happen to think it's a bit of alright.
I could have sworn I cleaned the crystal properly. Bugger.
Love these! Did you look at the 41 as well? The 36 seems a more cohesive looking watch to me. I happen to think it's a bit of alright.

Really pleased to be getting this one back in the next few days.
The person I sold it to in November 15 kindly offered me first refusal as he decided to sell & I had no hesitation at all.
It's a nice low serial # watch (# 28) that I bought directly from Damasko when they re-commenced making watches in 2009, after a hiatus of several years.

I hadn't tried the 41mm version however after trying both the blue and red BBs in the past I didn't think I needed to. They've got different bezels, granted, however I don't think that it would make any difference to how they wear and I find them too slab-like in profile and a little too tall on the wrist. They look great in 'photos however I agree that the 36 is much more cohesive with everything in proportion. Some PH Director types may struggle with the concept of a 36mm gents watch however I think it's the pick of the range and a bit of a sleeper at that, even without an in-house movement. There will be those that say it's just Tudor's Explorer and to an extent they'd be right (same size, steel case/bracelet, same white-on-black no-date dial), it's a different case shape though and the snowflake handset plus the different lumed hour plots give it a slightly more casual and robust look about it. 150mtr WR vs 100mtr as well, if that really makes any difference.Perhaps slightly ironically, despite the "Heritage" name tag, Tudor never made a watch of this size and type in the past. It's riding on the coat tales of the very successful BB range, and doing a great job of it at that.
Re the comments on the handset, I completely understand why they're not for some. They're there for historical reference, the original Tudor Submariners used snowflake handsets and it's this feature that has been carried over to the Black Bay and Pelagos ranges. They actually make for incredibly clear reading, even at night there's no mistaking where the hour hand is even when the minute hand shadows it and there's an unambiguous distinction between the two unlike, for example, a stick handset on a Rolex.

I'm seriously considering putting my Si version on the block, I don't wear it anywhere near as often as my DA36 and DA44 and my Sinn EZM13 suits my chrono needs. It would be missed if it were to go. Squadrone Rosso said:
That’s lovely. I just googled the brand. Impressive. Reasonable too.
It'll make three in my collection. I rate them highly. Some will suggest influences from other brands, but don't all watches do that? They are really nicely made, with decent movements and, as you say, a very good price.Squadrone Rosso said:
