Bought this at an auction during the week.
Never worn a Christopher Ward before.
I really like it.

Outside, garden, sun setting and a nice reflective surface. I'm going to copy that and change my appalling website photos. Many thanks!!
You definitely should, Lorne.

Yours must be a difficult watch to photograph, it looks so much better in the flesh than any photograph I have seen.

Having said that the finish on the Roy Oak really is something else.

It's a chameleon of a watch, which makes it near enough impossible to photograph (...or I'm just rubbish at pics)

Here's my attempt at warm light photographs. This is my modified to OO-spec watch, so only slightly different natural colours to yours. (incidentally, only 18 of the original O-specs haven't been modified, so they're getting quite rare).

Send one to PH'er Andy Tim's.

He's really good at taking photos of watches, such that I recognise a photo of his instantly.

I've just sourced a NOS one of these. I fancied one back in the early noughties but never got around to buying, and after they were discontinued it was too late. Then this one turned up on Chrono24.......

Very nice, I've seen two of those, one on a bracelet the other on croc like yours go through WF last week, I was going to get the red lettered 1957 one on a bracelet but it had gone when I went back, love the blue batons and hands.

Soft warm lighting certainly makes a hell of a difference to the way a watch looks Lorne, for the better I’d say.

I much prefer natural light.

It's taken me a while to get round to taking pics of this, but it's a cracking watch.

The Broad Arrow is lovely. The blue indices and hands really set it off.

Had one 5 years ago on a bracelet. Unfortunately had to sell it. Now the prices seem to be double what I sold it for!

I have one of these as a beater. It's a fantastic watch. Understated unlike most G-Shocks, easy to wear, deadly accurate, no need for a battery, all the functions you need. Really useful thing.

I see it is bi-lingual "El Back Light" for the Spanish.

My G-Shock strap fell apart on Sunday after around 10 years. I can't complain though as I have beaten the crap our of that watch. I am amused that the replacement strap is 25% of the original purchase price. That is worse than Rolex!

Got an SKX007 on the way. Going to wear it for a bit then start modding it. Hopefully should be a fun beater.

You will love it.

I had read so much 'hype' around the SKX models, I didn't expected they would be that good.

Mine has barely left the wrist since it arrived smile

I agree. Gives my more expensive watches a LOT less wrist time.
