and a quick movement shot as I just popped the case back off to see if it looks serviced or rusty as hell. She looks nice and shiny to me smile

With this Oris talk I picked up this 3 month old Divers Sixty Five at the weekend for only 55% of it’s sticker price. With an unworn strap also.
Bargain, that's a great looking watch

It's been a very busy time of late for many reasons so I'm a bit slower than usual in getting pics of some of these posted

Picked up this lovely PO from TZ-UK almost a month ago.

I'd been after this very spec for some time. I'm loving it.

The Fortis was another that had been on my list for a while. I bought it new in Feb from a dealer in Melbourne via Chrono24 at a decent price, but my Sister-in-law brought it over a few weeks ago.

The SLA025 had been on order from Jura since March & landed on the 9th of July, but it's gone back to Jura for a full refund. I've had high end Seiko's before, but this just didn't feel like a £5,000 watch.

The AlpinerX came yesterday, but that's not staying either - just put up for sale.

The Seiko looks amazing. I was very interested in this watch. However I seen the Marine Master SBDX017J at a local dealer for less than half the money. Looks bloody amazing. I was also trying on some Grand Seiko's and then blew me away. I am ashamed to say for years I ignored them. Not anymore.

This has been a dream watch of mine ever since Andy Tims (at least, I think it was you Andy!) posted one up a coupe of years ago. It's gorgeous, and the service from the Seiko Boutique in Knightsbridge was excellent. Took me seriously even though I went in wearing a bright green PH t-shirt and jogging trousers hehe

They also showed me this, and it was stunning. I thought it was trashy and too blingy when I first saw photos, but in the flesh it was just incredible. That's me wearing the glove, at £415,000 I didn't fancy covering it in fingerprints!

I tried one on myself the other day - it was a case of 'never meet your heroes' for me. Just felt way too light. I must say, I was a bit gutted.

Interesting. Did you try the steel or the titanium? I didn't get the Ti one for that reason, it was an extra £1,000 and just felt too light for a diving watch.

On the flip side, they had a JDM Snowflake there, with gold markers and hands, and that was super light. On that watch it felt right for it to be so light though.

The steel - and just to clarify - I am definitely not berating your choice here - it's still a beautiful watch. I am just going to refocus my efforts in buying a Hi-Beat Peacock and casually getting it past the wife smile

Is that from the Antea range? Quite like that, very subtle, and you don't see many Stowas around these parts either.

I think that's the first owner picture I've seen on a forum of a GS diver with the new dial - great choice. I think the boutique is doing its job in raising brand awareness yes

Don't worry, I didn't think you were! The steel feels quite heavy to me, but I have very limited experience of high end watches. In fact, this is my first. The Peacock is beautiful. It'll be a snowflake next for me, and then maybe even an Eichi II. They're getting two in later in the year, and I'm not sure I want to even look. Too tempting.

Thanks! Yeah, I think the boutique definitely helps. The staff were quite knowledgeable about the history and the movements themselves too, which is always good to see.

Lovely watch, congratulations.

The Ti version of this is my current obsession, I'd love a Spring Drive watch, and this is the one that pushes my buttons.

I get the 'lack of heft' thing putting some people off - a feeling of flimsiness once I had my hands on it was was the reason I didn't buy a Junghans model I had previously fallen for on the basis of web pictures and reviews - but for me the 137g of the Grand Seiko Ti model sounds like plenty and the titanium finish looks beautiful (again web pictures & reviews)... just need to get to Knightsbridge and get my hands on one to find out for sure!

Congrats again on yours.

Just had my newly restored 6309-7040 returned to me.
Went from this with a naff after market dial and wrong crown:

Picked up a bunch of dials for a tenner a while back:

The top left (covered in poo...) is a genuine Hong Kong dial - it was decided to clean up and re-lume this dial.

After a case brush, movement service, new crystal & crown and dial restore/relume it came back like this:

Really pleased how it turned out.
I have a new genuine bezel insert to fit too just to finish it off.

Oh, and I also have this incoming - should be with me tomorrow:

I wanted quartz, zero maintenance and nice build...arriving in a couple of days. Replacement for my trusty, but now defunct, Casio F91, which was my daily!
