SLA025 just landed. Unplanned, but having seen it in the metal it wasn't a hard decision!

I'm glad that's out of budget at the time, lovely watch!

That's me back up to 3 Seikos again.

Over the past few years I have bought, used then sold quite a few...

Ripley and Bishop "Spirit" Giugiaros reissues
Blue Lagoon Turtle
PADI Pepsi Turtle
An immaculate "Black Bullet"
Blue Lagoon Samurai
An SRP779 turtle that I modded green and gold
A 6309 7040
A Yellowfin Baby Tuna
...and probably a few more I've forgotten!

I love the fact that you can buy and sell them and not really lose anything, it's fun to have them come and go in the collection.

Current three are an SBBN013 Darth Tuna, an SBDX017 300MM and the SLA025 50th pictured above.

Yeah I'm a lucky boy!
Really enjoying the current three, and they fit well with the rest of the collection.
I really do need a turtle back in the rotation.

Still on a bit of a 60s/70s tip and still waiting for the Seiko SNKM97 to arrive.

To keep me going, picked up this rather nice automatic Swatch from the shop in Avignon today.

Rubbish picture, but it's a rather nice green with an orange second hand and has a really nice feel about it. Not expensive either.

The €20 Rover & Lakes automatic landed today:

It looks miles better than it did in the sale pictures, just need to sort out the date (any advice appreciated) and check its accuracy.

The cheapy Tissot PRC 200 also arrived, and cleaned up rather well. I fancy one of those Pattini watch straps from Poland that the guy with the green Seiko ordered, but with yellow accents:

You have to wonder how they do it for £20!
Clearly won't be the quality of a more mainstream timepiece but if it does the job for you what's not to like?
Usually to set date pull the crown 1 click and rotate it to change date. Pull a second click to change time.
As a rule of thumb don't change date between 9pm and 3am to prevent damage to the movement.

Ok, thanks.

The R&L was second-hand, I think they retailed for a couple of hundred new.

I’ve tried to sort the date, it’s now reading 32. No idea what I’ve done there!

Went to my local Seiko dealers to have a look at some dive watches. They had the SLA025 there which was gorgeous but also spotted a srpc13 that Ive not seen before. There was a bit of pissing about due to me wanting the proper box but I’m picking it up tomorrow

Nice!

Is the Datejust a rose gold with rhodium dial?

Did you pay list for the Pepsi GMT? The grey prices appear to be dropping quite a bit on these now, I'd certainly have one at list even though I've only recently purchased my black GMT. I don't usually go for colourful watches but that bezel looks great and I love a jubilee bracelet!

Not the best picture, but last week I bought myself the watch I promised myself ten years ago!

It's a Limited Edition (1000) Breitling Navitimer 1 (AB01271A). Grey dial and black rubber strap. I absolutely love it.

Stock photo:

I'll be getting a stainless steel bracelet too to jazz it up now and then, but I love the rubber strap for a daily wear.

Thanks, so do I, I’m really pleased with it.

The cheap Rover & Lakes automatic is gaining 5 seconds / day, which I think is acceptable.

So, the collection is pretty much done:

Vintage dress Omega Deville (ca. 1981)
Festina dress quarz (present from Mrs. B)
R&L cheap automatic
Accurist sub copy with a Pepsi dial, £40, soon to get a posh leather strap, quite a handsome thing
Tissot PRC 200 chronograph

Happy days!

Yes the DJ is the 36mm RG with Rhodium dial. I sold an Seadweller SD43 to buy it as I felt the SD was a bit to big for me.

Paid list for all 3, but made a nice profit on the SD which helped offset the cost a bit...
