Bought a lovely 2011 45.5mm Omega Planet Ocean via Chrono24. A full set. Christmas present from the Mrs smile

Lovely.

If you want the black rubber deployant strap with white stitching I have one still sitting in the bag with the receipt (sold the watch a while back).

Thanks. Oh yes. Very interested. Could you message me the details please?

What size case is that one? I really like this new red dial (if it wasn't for that damn power meter!) but some of them are absolutely huge!

Done! How are you liking the PO? A pretty hefty wear, if I recall!

Thanks, just seen the email. I’ll be in touch as just need to check it’s for the big boy 45.5mm not the mid sized version in your link.

I’m really pleased. It’s a heavy beast smile

Bit the bullet today & went for the Sky Dweller. Stumped up a couple of hundred more than list but it was unworn & 2 months old today.

I really wanted a Daytona but when I put one on, it felt really weedy with no wrist 'presence' compared to the SD, the face & dials just looked lost in a small 40mm case.

I assume you waited up and watched the date snap from 30 to 1? smile

I have a Sky Dweller in steel/blue - it's a clever mechanism.

Nice!
That would look great on a brown leather strap too

It's pretty large, 44.5mm.

If you like the red dial then maybe try the SBGH269 or SBGJ021, the cases are smaller and more subtle. (and they are much cheaper)

Yes, was that sad? I tried to explain what was special about it only needing changing manually in Feb if you kept it wound, the lady in the shop just wanted the money & my wife thought I needed my head testing spending 13k on another watch.

Not sad at all.

The Sky Dweller is a mechanical marvel - very clever indeed. It's the only Rolex I have and I bought it because of the mechanism.

I suspect you are cash neutral on it - in other words you have a fine watch and can get your cash back any day of the week if you absolutely needed to. Better than having it sitting in a bank doing nothing.

How is your accuracy?

Not checked the accuracy (to within seconds) to be fair but I have been checking it against the clock I set it against and at noon & midnight, that is what it is showing. I will have a closer look at weekend. I need to be out on plant today/tomorrow so its tucked up in the safe in favour of something a little more suited to slopping round in the st!

It's a keeper for me in memory of my gran. With the money she left me her wishes were, pay for your house so the family is secure & buy one of those bloody watches you keep looking at smile
