Arrived a week or so ago, just found time to get the camera out:
Man this thing was difficult to photgrapgh. The crystal made lighting and focussing on the dial a nightmare. I was working so hrd on that that I didn't realise I should have cleaned the watch. In reality, the bezel has a mirror finish with no marks, and the crystal too is without belmishes. Not bad for a watch from the mid 60's.

I too have a lot to learn about photographing watches. I spent ages trying to get some decent sale pictures for my CW C40IPK. It's all black, looks stunning for real, and scruffy in pictures! (must go back and read the sticky advice at the top of the section)

Aside from a Ti Seawolf I think thats the only other watch I REALLY REALLY want, I wasn't sure about how much the bracelet tapers BUT it's INCREDIBLY comfortable isn't it so it's a bit hard to criticise!I have a GMT 2c which feels like a ladies watch after wearing Breitlings, a SDDS wouldn't! :-)
It's one of those - if I could only have one watch for the rest of my life watches isn't it.
I'm having a hard time with the fact that it seems to be going up by £1,000 almost every year though!

What is the name or model number?
It's a Victorinox AlpnachThey are doing a Limited Edition too but I thought it was a bit pointless so stuck with the regular version!
It can be bought on a bracelet but moving DLC links rubbing against each other? Not sure the edges would stay black very long so I went for the textile strap which I also think makes it!

That's really annoying. I now HAVE to have one of those. Having trouble finding a UK seller that stocks this model mind.
The only London stockist is the Bond St Victorinox shop, huge saving if you happen to be in Switzerland though, couldn't get a deal in London because only one stockist and it seems to be their "halo" model!Pesty said:

I bet a used one would be REALLY cheap, I bet residual value will be stE!

I know exactly what you mean, it is a lot of money for a Victorinox but I had been looking at them for ages, I was in Switzerland, it was only a couple of days from my Birthday and it was nearly £700 less than the UK price so I did it!

Have a look at chrono 24. Might have a link to a Swiss dealer who could get you that watch. Would be in euros so likely to be the saving too. They are a bit like dealers on here have to work for their reputations and unlikely to sell a fake etc...I bet a used one would be REALLY cheap, I bet residual value will be stE!
Well went shopping today at Bluewater and come back with an Omega Moon watch from the Omega Boutique. Was looking at a Longines, but said to she who must be obeyed have a look at the Omega as I may go second hand route, as always wanted one. Tried it on and well you know the rest.
It now sits beside my Planet Ocean, Oris Big Crown Day Point and Oris Cool Grey.
