As per title, I've been looking at this brand recently and thought I'd read up on one or two reviews but can't find that much to view. Anybody out there familiar with Damasko watches? Thanks in advance.

Lovely watches and something a bit different.

Similar to Sinn.

I went for a 2nd hand Dievas Vortex, which again is similar but a lot cheaper. I got mine for £300 which included a Sinn rubber strap and Titanium buckle. Its indestructible.

I like the look of them and almost bought one - chose a Sinn in the end.

Page and Cooper are nice to deal with too, assuming you are looking at buying new.

Ordered one recently, waiting on the build now. I like the sound of their ice hardened steel, supposedly harder than the Sinn tegimented finish. Have read lots of stories from people giving them major abuse and they still look like new.

Jura watches will be selling them from August.

I really like them, never seen one in reality but I quite fancy them.

Have a look on Jura watches - likely to be better deals that P&C

I have two Damaskos and both are great watches. One is nearly ten years old and still looks almost new thanks to the hardened case. As for using Page & Cooper you may want to do a Google search and have a look at the thread on TZ. wink

Super watches and the cases are properly tough. I've had a few but I don't think I'd have another as I've gone off the look of the steel - It looks almost plastic.

Personally, I like the look of the steel.

+1

thumbup I've owned a Damasko and very highly recommend the brand. The build quality is utterly superb. Plus Damasko is brimming with technical innovations. If Damasko was marketed like a typical Swiss brand, then I reckon you'd be paying double the price for this level of build quality and innovation.

Well the process of buying my sinn from them was smooth sailing. Certainly gives me pause for thought about sending it there for servicing mind you.

Likewise. My experiences of Page & Cooper have been good too. Perhaps there are two sides to every TZ story.

Here are my two, a DC67si and a DA36 Black -

Terrific tool watches, well constructed and designed to last.

Damasko - very impressive watches. I have the DA47 which has turned into one of my favourite watches.

Hi again, great looking watches, I've just seen the Tudor Bronze, that too is a great looking watch, so now I'm debating which brand!

Had several - brilliant watches, but they do suffer a bit of depreciation now they are relatively easy to come by, if you buy brand new.

I am looking at getting a DA36. I cannot decide between the steel or all black...

Seem like a good quality product without the high price tag of Swiss equivalent.

CardShark - still enjoy your DA36? Any minus points?

Still enjoying it? Oh yes! Any minus points? Nope*.

I can't comment with any great personal authority on how well the DAMEST coating stands up to knocks as my 36 isn't a daily wearer however it still looks exactly the same as it did when I bought it and the coating is supposed to be much tougher than the ice-hardened steel that forms the substrate. It's a versatile watch when it comes to straps, I've a few NATOS and a couple of Di-Modell/Damasko straps that I use with it, and it's very well regulated. I also find that of all the watches I have ever owned it's the easiest to read, the black case along with the black dial helps with the contrast against the white minute and hour hands.

I've since bought a DA44 to join the other two so you could say that I'm a fan of the brand yes

  • the lume could be a little bit better, though I'm splitting hairs

Thanks. Did you buy yours direct from Damasko?

I've been craving the black on and off for years as I think it really accentuates the minimal dial colours but having having seen a picture of the steel on a bracelet has put another option on the table!
