I tried this on not too long ago - Tudor's 36mm Black Bay. I've been interested since its launch however some 'photos made the case look too slab-like and the crown too large, thankfully I was wrong on both counts. Perfectly proportioned with a wonderful sense of heft and quality given the size of the watch, I'm now quite smitten.
The watch is smaller on the wrist than it appears in my poorly taken shot.

Looks like the Rolex Exporer caseThe watch is smaller on the wrist than it appears in my poorly taken shot.
Same diameter compared to the smaller model Explorer however it's a little chunkier and a different shape, the Explorer's scalloped flanks compared to the BB's flatter case sides being the biggest difference. The BB's crown is also completely different, the Exp's being more conventional compared to the proud design of the BB.
It's been a while since I've tried a 36mm Exp however from memory I'd say the BB's bracelet and clasp also have a little more metal in them and feel more robust, in all the BB has more of a mini tool watch feel about it without losing an everyday all circumstance appeal.

You buggers... it is indeed a Mark III Classic. One for sale on Chrono24, but in the research i've just seen the grey dialled version, yes please...
I made an enquiry on your behalf – the grey dial is £515, and they might want to service it too. So that NOS one in the US might not be quite so viable after all.PJ S said:

Happy to see this has gathered quite some steam while I was away.
Price does not matter at all. It just needs to be something that has made you stop today. I'm enjoying seeing and hearing about watches I would have never thought to have searched for or even come across.
Today, I came across this: Bvlgari Octo Finissimo

Pretty cool in black with the gold. The Tourb in the article is obviously so far past my means, but still pretty.

Dietrich Watches. Only just heard of them as i saw them for sale on Jura Watches. Pic from the official website:

I'm not a great fan of the look, but it's certainly unusual and different. What i do like is the detail, such as the small seconds hand and the 24hr counter. It's a Miyota 82-S-7 underneath, which i believe is a Citizen movement also used by SevenFriday. Sensible money too at about £1,400+

I really like this watch at the moment:
I wasn't aware of Doxa watches until recently, but having seen the Sub range I really like the style of the case, and that bracelet looks superb. I'm not keen on another orange-faced divers watch, but I really like the other colours (except the day-glo blue one!)
