Which watch keeps tempting you?
Discussion
Quite apart from the Rolex BLNR GMT that haunts my dreams, and the 1016 Explorer that I will own one day... Probably...
I'm being sensible with a Hamilton Khaki Field Manual.
Lovely design, solid SS case, manual movement. Happy.
It will keep me amused for 6 months or so...

I'm also quite keen on the Sea-Gull 1963. Odd thing, made in China with a Swiss movement. Or Swiss machine made movements. Or something.
Anyway, I quite like it.

I quite like that too as a bit of a novelty. Is it quartz? How much? Stevie_P said:

Real-world option? I keep looking at this:
I really love the ethos behind it and I'm sure I'll own one at some point.
Pretty much in the same boat. Keep gravitating towards this watch.I really love the ethos behind it and I'm sure I'll own one at some point.
Only wish I could see one in the flesh.

Why are the crown and pushers knurled?
Easier to use if you've got greasy or muddy fingers (- or sweaty little hands), and I made the pushers nice and big to allow a firm button force without making a dent in my finger. Plus, I rather like knurling - hence putting it on the back plate as well. The knurling around the bezel is soft sided (ie rounded a bit) so it doesn't chafe a shirt cuff. The buttons, crown and back plate are sharper.

Probably will at some point. Until recently I hated the octagonalness of them, but I tried one on at AP and liked it.
I also believe they ding easily.
It isn't a Rolex and that appeals.
Mine is a new one with slightly different logos on the face....I also believe they ding easily.

If I get one I will probably seek out a 39mm.

You know, I didn't rate one until I saw one on the wrist of Simon Cundy, the director of Henry Poole tailors. It looked cracking under a shirt cuff.
