There are three......

This one - that I can afford but can't find ANYWHERE. It has to have the creamy yellow face & the brown leather strap.

It a hamilton Xwind - i think when i get it it'll be far to big for my tiny wrists and i'll hate it.

I've got an Xwind and - while not that colour combination - I love it. It probably gets more use than any other watch I own.

I've got pretty skinny wrists and think it's fine. Also worth pointing out that Mrs Scruff, who's pretty petite, steals it on a regular basis!

For me, it's Lorne and his OFFSHORE chronograph. Or another Monaco. Or Maybe a Monza...

Which watch is tempting you lot today?

And I mean you can actually afford!
I guess he means is it just a pipe dream or something you MIGHT actually buy? Although, politeness might dictate we assume you can, as you've replied with this watch, and leave it there smile

I can buy either of the Steinhart's in my 1st post with current account money.

The Tudor, yes, I can, but it means tapping the mortgage deposit fund, technically can afford, but should not.

That Seamaster Regatta is LUSH.

I wold really like a 1972 Seiko Bullhead. I can't be trusted with anything too expensive.

Nice , have you seen the rose gold with the black strap version?
the gold rubber strap version is very nice (all be it a bit underwhelming in the flesh imo) but its £8k more expensive than the one posted yikes

I'm in serious danger of trading in all my watches for a Breguet Type XX Aeronvale and a Breguet Classique. It becomes harder and harder to resist every day.

That's a good looking watch and nice to see a manufacturer making watches that aren't the size of a bedside clock. smile

IWC Aquatimer Chrono.

Been kicking myself for not buying one almost 10 years ago now when I saw a new one up for $4,500 in Dubai airport.

Back when they made stunning Aquatimers, all the models since have been awful. I really want a Titanium version of that.

I am on the lookout for a Seiko 'Pogue', preferably an early one but that might be too hard to find.

Agree. The newer ones are a technicolour dogs dinner in comparison. Although I think the yellow graphics on the titanium version is the start of that trend, and for me ruins the look. Also that matt finish would be a nightmare to keep looking smart.

Not too hard - I took a fancy to some Pogueage and ended up with a couple (so far...) - the trick is steering away from shonky frankenwatches and know your onions when it comes to what makes up each vintage.

Mine are a '74 yellow and a '69 silver Proof...
