Loving the power reserve on the back as well, I'd like a watch with a power reserve indicator.
You can have one, and it won't cost you £350k or anything like. My Timex has it and yes, I think it's as cool as penguin p*ss. My only regret is that it says "Power Reserve" in extremely fine print and not "Reserve de Marche". If it were the latter I'd be delighted. Still, at £40 to the door you don't see me crying. Thanks Amazon.

Indeed I can, it was more a general point around liking them, the JLC master geo would be perfect but there are a couple of things I don't like, shoot me down in flames but I'd prefer a larger 42mm case this as pictured is 38mm and a leather strap that fits snug to the case, I tried one on and I just wanted more watch on my wrist.

But I love the design and look of this watch and can really see the appeal and it has the Reserve de Marche wording you desire to boot.

I will have a look. It isn't mine (sadly). I organise watch events at various watch boutiques. Last night it was VC, so I had a while to wear and play with it - but it completely slipped my mid to photograph the rear - which is really lovely. Has the power reserve indicator on the back - which I think is a better place for it than the face.

14 day power reserve!

The rear (not my pic)

Amazing, would love to take a bit of time to admire such a work of art in person.

Oh dear, I'm going to reveal my lack of class, but I would not have any issues owning that Patek Philippe either! Not saying I'd have it as a daily wearer, but a wonderful thing to own and take out the safe to admire the craftsmanship every now and again.

I was thinking of JlC when I typed "Reserve de Marche", it's one of their features. That's a very pretty watch, and by the standards of these things not so ridiculously priced. Yes, OK, £7k isn't loose change but it's the kind of money these things tend to go for. It's another one scoring nil for legibility, silvery hands on a white face, especially a busy face like that, are a pig to read in anything other than perfect light.

Lovely watch. Did you get it in London by any chance? I spent a good part of my recent trip there trying to hunt one down with no luck.

Second hand about 5k, yep a bit going on in the dial hence my want for a bigger case/dial, they did a black dial version much easy to read but not as elegant as the white dial.

Anyway none of these are on my wrist so I'll stop with the OT stuff.

As usual, the answer is Dominic H (Hackett watches).

Managed to pick this up on Tuesday this week from a Rolex AD that I have bought a few watches from. Pure chance purchase as I enquired whether they had one as an aside. It was their last one in stock and they say no more will be forthcoming from Rolex.

Nice watch that I am wearing today. Despite being the last one, I managed to achieve just over 7% discount off list which was an added bonus.

Well done!

It`s funny because when it came out people raved about it, then when it got withdrawn I heard my first negative comments about them, however some dealers have since asked closer to £9k for UNstickered stock and Chrono 24 isn`t exactly swimming in them!

I love them!

Well, given what's happened to the asking prices since Baselworld, I will be hanging on to mine. It doesn't get a lot of wrist time though, as I find it a bit top heavy, which means that I have to wear the bracelet a bit tighter than I would ideally like. It'll be interesting to see where priced finally settle on these.

7% off of an SS model in the U.K.? That's quite unheard of in recent times.

I thought the price jump happened very quickly but I guess that`s what happens when a steel Rolex gets withdrawn, I agree with the top heaviness but it `s not TOO bad, nothing like the DSSD I had, I tend to wear my watches loose enough that I can just about get my index finger behind a lug!

I think if the SD4K was your ONLY watch you might get used to the weight / top heaviness and not notice so much but when switching back from something slimmer it`s more noticeable!

I used switch back from Breitling Avengers to a GMT and the GMT felt pathetically small, now the Avengers have gone a GMT / Sub (40mm) seems absolutely perfect, if I only had an SD4k I think it`s height would become normal!

I bought mine in France February 2015, with discount and good exchange rate it came out at £5,500, if I`d bought 3..............
