Look at the photo though - he has it pushing into the back of his hand and too far forward.
I'm with Chris, he is wearing it wrong and it looks mad.
Why can't he do whatever he wants? Why does wearing a watch need an arbitrater? I'm with Chris, he is wearing it wrong and it looks mad.
PS If I raise my arm the watch will slip a good 1" down my wrist

I'm a dumbo - what's with the numbering?
It's a 24 hour dial. Designed to be impossible to read at a glance. I loved mine to bits, but it drove me crackers.gizlaroc said:

I thought that - but 16 at the 8pm position etc? Odd.
This probably shows it a little clearer, Glycine Airman 2000 back on a divers strap....1600 hours is 4pm. I don't see why '16' (for example) would be at the 8pm position.
I am obviously being incredibly thick! Just never seen time displayed in this way before.

The hour hand only goes round once a day. So 12 noon is where 6 normally is.
I couldn't live with that. A single hand 24 hour dial would drive me mad, but might possibly be tolerated, but a conventional layout that only rotated once every 24 hours would be impossible. 12 noon with "little hand up and small hand down"? No thanks, not ever.battered said:

In pre digital days it would have been very useful as a tool - one way to ensure you where at the 'corrects' 3 o'clock. NDA said:

Oh I seeeeee!Obvious when you know. Thank you.
What a weird arrangement. I'd find that very confusing.
Just loved the Cosmonaute when I first saw it long ago. And adore it again on the new strap (original tan croc very shabby now). It is an affectation I admit though - seldom in my life of Excel spreadsheets, the school run and occasional stand-up poetry do I need horological confirmation of whether it's morning or afternoon! Still cool though . . . .
