I've noticed they have come down in price the cheapest on Chrono 24 in the UK is £10,500 I think, Watchfinder have dropped to £11,750 from the usual £12,500, I always thought paying 50% overs was a little steep but clearly some people didn't.

Good to see them dropping back hopefully that will mean demand from flippers will slow and I'll get the call from the AD sooner.

Is the 116600 SD4000 creeping down in price again too, or am I imagining it?

Red text is nice, but.....

Too thick (looks to be nearing DSSD proportions), the cyclops is just wrong on an SD and with the inevitable supply issues / instant mark-up by "speculators" = A big no from me.
Tried one on today & thought that whilst much better proportioned than a DSSD it was too big for me - by that I mean too thick mainly.

It wore huge compared to the new (also 43mm) Samurai's and my (new collected) BLNR.

Evening - in the market for a sea dweller 59th after some scrotes burgled me two weeks ago and stoke my whole collection. I’m thinking about a day out in London for my birthday in a couple of weeks - anyone know of any SD 50’s in Hatton garden I could try ? Thanks

There's a stickered SD50th on tz-uk for £10k just now. They have gone a bit cheaper than that too.

Just a heads up to any other owners, Rolex have updated the dial on the new Sea Dweller 50th Anniversary with a coronet between the SWISS MADE typeface.

2017-18 model years have the mk1 dial

Is this to mark out the first release watches ?

Who knows why Rolex do anything, there certainly won’t be a press release about it!

I think it’s generally being rolled out across the whole range of watches and historically they always tweak as they go-wasn’t there 5 or 6 different combinations of dial and bezel on the Submariner Anniversary?

Whatever happens, the mk1 dials will be the ones to have in years to come (in my humble opinion).

Popped into my AD at the weekend and he reckons I’ve probably only got another 2-3months to wait until it’s my turn to get the call.

Now it’s getting closer, can I ask those who have ‘skinny’ wrists, how well does this sit on your wrist say in comparison to a GMT2? Is it much more taller/fatter?

The AD telling you that your watch will be probably be there in 2-3 month is BS! The truth is they dont know what they will be getting until at tops a week before! As for how it wear’s i have little girl wrists and there not to bad,i dont tend to wear my watches very tight though. All that said hope you do get it very soon. And before anyone says it,i know what im saying is right as i have a good mate thats very high up in a large company of AD’s.

I don't have a skinny wrist (max bracelet on a GMT) but even for me the SD43 is noticeably more cumbersome. Maybe down to the shape of my wrist but I need to wear it quite tight to hold position or it will rotate down. Dont have this problem with SUBC or GMTC, where I can wear it comfortable, not tight but also without movement. I prefer to wear my watch at a tightness that leaves next to zero compression marks in my skin when I remove at the end of the day.
