Always had an hankering for one, so when one came up on TZ last week so I thought I will give it a try. Nice and comfortable and look really good on the wrist. I will use it for a holiday beater next month as it looks great when the sun catches lt.

I'm not sure if I like the original dial better? Especially when matched with a Brady Sailcloth...

I have both the SNZH57 and the above strap on their way to me. Couldn't resist the watch (with its SS bracelet) at £95 delivered.

Also like this dial...

That middle pic is bloody lovely! Where does one find these for £95 or thereabouts? And the strap?

I second that question.

Looks great.

The Brady Sailcloth certainly is the strap for the watch, shall be adding one to mine.

Is the £95 for the Seiko diver then it's extra to convert with the 55 fathom dial and see through back

Watch from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361950967519?_trksid=p20...

Was £110.80 when I ordered, less the £15 coupon eBay had given me for whatever reason!

Note that shipping is from within the UK so no import worries.

You can also choose the Japan model in the same listing if you prefer.

Then add: http://www.bradystraps.com/shopping/pgm-more_infor...

Maybe add one of these to your order to make it more economical (check width!)?: http://www.bradystraps.com/Close_Out_Straps.php

Dials extra. Dagaz or Yobokies seem to be the places to go:

Cheers for that. So you've ordered the one in the top two pics of your previous post, and the dial in the third pic is available from those other guys?

Happy Easter to me, I think cool

Yes, that's correct.

Dials are slightly different between Dagaz and Yobokies so do research.

I've no plans to alter mine, but the mods are numerous if you fancy it.

These are the correct Dagaz ones for crown at 3.00, so they told me...

From those, I'd probably go with this one...

Do you send the watch off to these guys to have it modified, or purchase the dial and get someone else to do it? Not sure I'd trust my local jeweller at home but I guess there will be places in London?

Yobokies will do the work, but expensive to ship out and back again. Not sure about Dagaz.

I'd buy the parts and get a local watch repairer to do the work. Or have a look at Youtube for DIY option. The hands are the tricky bit I'd think. Delicate.

Yes - at first I thought it was a change in the colour, having never seen one in that colour before. But I'm leaning towards the 55F version now.

Thanks. I did buy a cheap watch to experiment with dial changing a few years back, I did get it all back together but not without marking the dial first - so I think I'll hand it over to someone!

Thanks for the info. I'll look around for someone to do the work, I think.

I've had one go at taking a second hand off and replacing it and managed to bend it in the process. Bent it back and all good but I was sweating, and that was just with two 2nd hand £2.50 watches! Of course I improvised using tweezers when there are special tools for removing and replacing hands, but to "tool up" just for one dial switch wouldn't be worth it.

Having said that, with my other hobbies of shooting and saxophones I have become a reasonable "repairer". I can strip, clean, do minor repairs, and re-build those. I guess it would be another string to anyone's bow if they could do simple dial/bezel/hands/glass replacement. Not suggesting we dismantle our Rolexes though!

Aha... Japanese (if it's an older one) watch AND Sax.

I've had a few Yamahas but now have French, Italian, USA horns, (and a German one in bits being overhauled).

My £95 Seiko arrived yesterday, plus Brady strap a few days earlier. Seiko came with an unexpected box. It was delivered from a UK address so no worries about import duty/VAT...

Not unwrapped either yet as I may buy a GMTII tomorrow and if so might sell the Seiko/strap on. Still, if I then sell my bi-metal OP DJ the Seiko would satisfy a future desire for the gold look...
