Good evening,

Yesterday I was lucky enough to try on a non date sub and a Bi-metal daytona with white dial. I was really surprised how stunning and how much I liked the two tone Daytona. To be honest the Sub didn't get a second look. The Daytona looked and felt so expensive, classy and white dial kept it sporty.

Very surprised. I just need £12k now.

Well.............. derr of course it would compared to a Submariner, they cost twice as much.

I looked at a Sub and Daytona side by side recently and preferred the Sub by about... ten times as much!

Beauty is in... etc...

TT or rather Bi-Metal isn't really my thing, but that Daytona really works, it's the dial that brings the whole package together. Also with Rolex using 18ct gold it's never as shiny / blingy, with the brushed SS it just works

^^^^^^

Now that Bi-Metal doesn't work for me, I find it a little too brash. Which is contradictory to my thoughts of a 18ct all gold Submariner-Date with blue dial. The older version as I'm not keep on the stepped square maxi case of the current version

Odd isn't it?!

Two tone Daytona's are slightly less in terms of resale value compared to the all steel Daytona's.

I know of a few that are going for 6.5k compared to nearly 9k for an all steel. I know this because i am trying to gather together the funds to purchase a TT for my wife for her 40th.
