Zenith DeLuca? Very nice.

As for the GMT - I love my 1675. The non-independent 24hr hand isn't great for practicality, but I kind of like using the bezel instead - very old school. Here it is with its Omega partner:

Good luck with the search!

Try this - should pinpoint the year of manufacture

I think the photo confirms that is not the case.

Is this what you ended up with or were you just pondering?

If you got this you've made a very good move, depending on what you bought it for vs how much you'll wear it... The first series DeLuca (ironically without the Rolex style hands) is one of the great Zeniths, up there with the Axxx original series, Cairelli and A277 ones in my book. Could pick them up for about £2k 4-5 years ago....not so much now...the Axxx series, A277 and Cairelli have shot up over the past few years, silly money, the DeLuca still appears a bargain to me, with some more headroom to go - wait till Hodinkee sell one to the hedgefunders......

If you're considering then obviously the caveat is that it's a 1988/89 watch and damage would/could impact a lot on value.

But much the same could be said about Rolex vintage I guess.

The De Luca is £3,500. Non original strap. A Sub or GMT is calling to me more for an extra grand or so.

Definitely go with what you like; an original bracelet (for completeness) would be about £350 quid I reckon, unless you're lucky.

A Zenith retailer told me the other day that Zeniths are more for the person who has the "usual" high end watches and wants to add something with a little more mystique to a collection. Can't say I disagree.

There was plenty of 'mystique' in the Nataf era over at Zenith.... smile

1675 on a jubilee bracelet is my favourite. Don't have a pic of mine to hand but will try and get one.

I have one from that era, it's for sale! (am I risking a temporary ban for saying that?)

Here's my favourite! Bezel is turning pink and there's a subtle colour change in the dial...it looks great in the metal.

Here are the 3 variations that were made the "stick" and the "rectangle" are considered to be "error" dials, mistakes, experiments, who knows but there are only a handful of each, making them collectible

i think i have inadvertently got myself a rectangular dial a few years ago!

with box/papers/sticker on this 2006 what would you say is a realistic value for this Don??
